Eric...lose the headlights...quit while you're ahead..
Screw you Jackson!!! Why you gotta take it there!? Hawaiian shirts are the corner stone of "Cool"!!!
Just messin
On another note...The day someone finally gets around to making a front wide body to match those of Carbon Creations I'll be in heaven...either that or a rocket bunny, LB project would have potential as well...hint, hint

Exactly. That abomination is obviously an ugly attempt at making a "Corvette GT40". LMFAO!
Believe me, the photos help it a lot as well...lol. The paint...omg...the paint.
Then there is Lou out in Temecula...he has a dream Corvette deal too...fiberglass everywhere. Let me see if I can dig up an old photo. He actually made a magazine like a year after the C5 debuted...he has been determined to "re-do" it ever since. It's in his garage. He wanted me to finish it so that we could tour the country showing it. I was like ..."pass"...lol.
Edit: Here it is...I found it. Now, in Lou's defense...while he had the money and will to make this happen, AND made a magazine...we all know this is...not good. On the flip side though, Lou has built a heck of a business and won a SEMA award two or three years ago for engineering. He's a good guy but...yet another one who got crazy with the design ideas and had the money to make it happen..lol

Didn't say I wanted to buy it, I think whats cool is someone put their imagination into reality !!! Some have more of a open mind than others, I like different, been to a lot of car shows in my life and I love seeing other peoples creations !!!!!!
Then there is the GRAND master of Corvette re-do's. I came VERY close to running this company, but the deal ended up going belly up. This is a young guy, wanting to be the next Enzo Ferrari, who has a father that imports cars into Malaysia. His dad has MEGA money. SO...I get in contact and nearly had a deal to run his business but dad pulled the plug (remind you of Panoz maybe...yep).
So, this is a C6 Corvette inside...hard to find though. There is WELL over a million bucks into this car.. Now, to this guys credit, he has designed three MEGA yachts for Saudi big money clients.

If I wanted a Ferrari 360 I'd buy one.
I kinda do want one, but I would prefer a real one.
Which 18 wheeler did the taillights come off of on the blue one a few posts above?

I thought that when I saw the car...lol. I wondered if he bought them at a Pilot truck stop in a pinch...haha.
I've got lots more where these came from. I have a near e-rolodex of old guys trying to design cars...some have the money to make it happen too. I built a couple whacky rides for people...somewhat against my will. I toned them down from what the customer wanted but...end of day they pay, so I build...lol.
She was nice...quiet, didn't speak much english, seemed happy. She was older and actually fairly attractive for her age (though still much younger than him). They travel around, live the life of a pure loss business model that survives on bank account reserves. He plays car manufacturer, does little events, etc. His car is junk but...he's happy so...at least his parents left him a little of the good life I guess.
Thanks Buddy, I wish I could. I always wonder why materials like thick lexan are not used for some body panels. They are painted from the inside and are crystal clear plastics and lightweight. I used to race RC Cars, one of my sponsors made the bodies for my 1:12th scale cars. This is where I gained some engineering experience. I worked in the development on the chassis of these cars with my sponsors. These cars share a lot with their full sized counterparts.
Speeds were ridiculous. Once a mold is made they simply injection molded those bodies. That process would be much more accurate than fiberglass work and almost completely crack resistant and lighter than fiberglass. I see no reason why full size bumpers could not be pulled from that. Even if it had to be reinforced, it could still be painted on the outside and still be lighter than fiberglass. If we have sandwiched balsa wood for weight reduction in our floor panels, why not try?
Designer Imagines A Corvette That Looks More Like a Corvette Than the Corvette
Slideshow: A Jaguar designer's personal project imagines what a modern front-engined Corvette might look like if Chevrolet revisited the golden age of the Stingray.
