Oh man, that's interesting. I've got my stashed on the bottom shelf in my garage kind of out of my way, but I did recently have to move it to get to my wife's car to change the oil. I didn't wanna uncover my vette and get it out of the garage. This is a stupid simple idea. I might build this out of wood one weekend with some Harbor Freight casters.
Love the idea
So I ordered my 5000SLX on Tuesday and got the power unit yesterday. Got that all setup. Then the lifts were suppose to be here today only got one of them. FedEX damaged the other one so the wait continues.
Was thinking of a two post short lift but liking what I see about the quick jack. And way cheaper for a portable unit. May be my birthday present to me. ;-)
I would recommend making a handle for the pump and adding some caster wheels so it's easy to move around and hold the hoses/wires.
Can you post more pics of your rig? That looks like a great idea and I'd like to do something similar. Thanks!
I ordered the 5000 and it is scheduled to arrive in two days. No immediate work planned on the Corvette but planning to do the brakes on my E91 BMW in a couple of weeks.
My 5000SLX arrived Friday and I spent the weekend playing with it.
Sliding the lifts under and out from under the car is a challenge - my garage floor is concrete and not very smooth. The grab bars that come with it kept slipping off the side rail they were designed to grab so I used some leftover tool drawer liner to give them some better grip. Better but still harder than I would like. Is a smoother garage floor surface in my future?

The top of the handle is 34" from the ground including the 2" caster wheels, the vertical bar is 1" x 1/2" aluminum tubing.
Thanks for this idea! I have one as well for my SLC and there was a few times I considered using it for the C5, but have yet to. I really should have used it for when I changed the trans fluid.
I'm definitely putting casters and a handle on my stuff now. I have some 1" square tubing laying around, as well as a set of casters (although they're probably too big).
