The owner of the Nassau Blue C5 is a forum member here and has a detailed thread in Tech for the C7 fascia install. They said the fascia they received from California SuperCoupes required quite a bit more work than anticipated, which upped the estimated labor costs. On top of that, at the time locating C7 tail lights and hardware was very cost prohibitive (I'm certain by now it's much easier to get hands on C7 tail lamps). I can't quite remember what was quoted as paid for after all the work was said and done but I do remember it being close to $4K or possibly above that. I don't know if it's worth four thousand dollars just to have the tail end of your car look like a C7; I'd be saving that money for an actual C7.

A lot of you here know I was one of the first to do a C6 style rear on a C5, and I thought it turned out pretty well and blended nicely. With that said the C7 rear like that one does not look good in the C5 imo.

My old C5...

When the C7 first came out I was on the fence...but it grew on me and I absolutely love my C7. I know looks are subjective but don’t know why anyone would say the C7 isn’t good looking.

I'd say the C6 style rear actually looks quite good on a C5, probably because the cars use similar design language.
