It appears so and looks good. I would need to actaully see a kit to really understand it. My guess is this came from overseas and the cutoff doesn't look right to me.....but thats me. With the size of market we are dealing with I can't see myself investing a bunch of money to build something already available.....though I do believe the Hella optics are far superior.

Pm me and we might be able to work something out.
I should have a prototype housing available soon.
It was a working prototype so it is a little worn has been mounted and dismounted several times.
Yes the plastic housing is from overseas.
The bulbs and ballasts are philips.
The optics installation and final assembly is done in the USA.
As for the beam pattern I'm trying to get better pics, it is crisp and clean I like it. I had stock lights before, so I'm amazed on how bad my lights were.
I will have models for the c2,c3 and c4 also soon
I will be adding Hella hid fog lights to my car before end of year also.

Thanks
Brian

Actually not a bypass....these have been out for a while. There is a plethora of mfr's overseas that are making, I will say "questionable" products like this. I suspected that something would show up from there sooner or later. From a quality and design point of view, I am not concerned as we can deliver a better "performing" system. However, this takes money, and I am on the fence as to whether I will spend it on this project. Since there are no other options, I believe this community will probably buy the first thing available, whether it is an import or substandard to the more premium optics available.

Bashing something you haven't even seen personally is inappropriate.
I offered to send you one prototype to get your opinion and you declined.
Also production just recently started so they have not been out a while,

Wow. Up till that post I thought you were a stand up guy. I have been waiting for your system since last year when you first said you'd have a prototype in May. Here it is October and you still have nothing to show.
Now another vendor shows up with the product you haven't delivered and you slam something you haven't even seen?

You say these have been out a while but then you say these are the first things out. WTF?

Sounds like some serious sour grapes to me.

no worries to both of you going into the market. I think a lot of the guys who bought c5s used from the early years may not have the money for top of the line optics and are willing to opt for a nice upgrade with the cheaper setup. And the c5 guys with newer c5's and a more compelling wallet will only want top of the line. and in some cases vice verse. I would like to see you both come out with your lights and let the market do its thing. No-one should have to live with the stock lighting GM dumped on us. IF you check out ebay there regular upgrade lights for various cars and high end upgrades for those same cars. Theres room for all. I like my NPU's though. But this is perfect for the people who hate NPU's

Let me clarify my statement...and this is based on discussions with other people higher up in automotive lighting world than us. A great portion of import lighting technology coming from overseas is not up to par. Brian, you confirmed to me exactly where this stuff is coming from and the manufacturers behind it....which is from overseas....I then confirmed this with a few pople in the industry. This wasn't a bash more of an observation. It's not a slam so don't take it that way. I considered going overseas to have some stuff made but after researching it, I first wanted to keep as much of the money here in the US and use better optics. Consumers will buy this product...so hats off. Just be careful.

I think you will find the same answers if you were to do some investigations...one sush source is Daniel Stern Lighting...send him an email and ask. I think we all want to be educated buyers.

EDIT:

I would prefer to drop this all together...I don't like the direction this is going. Brian- good luck to you--I will post again soon.

Daniel Stern and I will be speaking when he returns to the USA on tuesday.
I am trying to get as much info as possible thats why I offered to send you a unit.
I will more than likely be sending Mr Stern a system to Look at and give me his opinion. He has already helped me with some things for the website. He also advised me of the testing standards and the standards for DOT.
I myself am a electrical engineer and specialize in digital audio video circuits and DC harness manufacturing.
Because of the reputation of "some" overseas parts the manufacturer backs the product with a 3 year warranty to separate them from the lesser quality options.

Thank you for you time.
Brian
