Specs= yes I will post them when they are available.
Cosmetic Angel Eyes---no they can be used as DRL's if you like.
and of course a relay based wiring harness that provide direct batt voltage to the headlights. Custom made and pre-terminated.
I did receive the new HID projector light module and it looks great...I am really excited. Very small and will easily fit...no problems. They aren't available yet (shortly), but will allow us to work on a set of protos.
mray, Is your kit going to be a retrofit using the stock US housing to mount the HID projectors as I've seen in another post on this site. or are they going to be a complete new part? and when do you anticipate having them generally available to the masses, Thx,1KLRTOY
No---what a lot of folks don't understand is the difference between a retrofit and a consumer-ready mass produced assembly/kit.
Retrofit is exactly what you are talking about, cutting the GUIDE plastic reflector bucket assembly to mount projectors in. You can not mass produce that and it will not meet any DOT specifications.
Mine will be 100% all new parts, consumer-ready, and manufactured to DOT specs incuding HID.

So this is a complete set of assembled headlights. Unplug and unbolt the old ones, remove them. Paint the top side of your assembly, install, plug in, and see better. Sounds great to me, if you can have them done before I paint my car. Unfortunately it will be next to impossible to match the color I'm shooting my coupe. So if I don't have the new lights by the time I'm ready to paint, I'll be left out.
Someone else mentioned this earlier and I did not see a reply. Anychance of you doing a non pop-up? Not something butt nasty like the C6, but something a little more like the old days when people would mount the old rectangular sealed beam lights in C3's and put an acrylic cover over the opening. Well, maybe a little more modern looking, but thats the idea, that's what I would like to have. I know you said you would do anything (possible) custom for $$$, but you would get a lot of buyers for a setup like that.
From: Dear Karma, I have a list of people you missed.

You should have no problem at all as the outer headlight door (the painted part) is held on the the headlight assembly by screws. Unbolt your covers, install the mod, then re-attach your covers. If you want get your covers painted now, go ahead. No color matching problems at all. HTH

i know for the 1st gen stealths and 3000gt's they have a set up that retains the pop up light but allows you to run a projector head light, only 79 bucks and its an h-4 bulb too. http://www.3sxperformance.com/body.asp
scroll down a bit to you get to the headlights

Answers---At this point non-pop-ups are at the bottom of the list currently. The pop-up (and any system I make) system would be 100% plug and play with installation by a few minor tools...available in Halogen or D2S projectors. I should have more detailed info next week after working on the shrouds.
I have attached a pic of the D2S HID projector sitting in the outer shroud. It's just there to give you an example of size...I know it's crude.
The kits will be dot approved and I will be working on the protos next week---wiring harness is already done.
I know alot of people here do not want to read this, but TAKE YOUR TIME! I can't get my C5 until late April damn it! I'm absolutely in for a set, low beam projectors/high beam reflectors. Couple question mray. I want to acheive a more white/purplish look. In that case, will I be best off with Phillips 6000k Ultinon, or will the 4100K (which I'm guessing will be the bulbs that comes with the kit) achieve that? I've mainly heard that the projector is the main culprit for the color and was told that an ECE Valeo projector would be best for what I'm trying to achieve. Just wondering what the DOT projectors you're providing will look like, as far as its cutoff and color. Thanks in advance, you're definetly a forum hero!

They are identical to the new BMW's. The bulbs are 4100k's. The higher you go in K value the less actual light output you get. Valeo is popular becasue they are inexpensive. Unfortunately they are not DOT approved by themselves. The color of the actual light is from the bulb, however the design of the cutoff shield in the projector does play a part in the rainbow coloring at the point of cutoff. My main objectives are plug and play, new wiring hanress with relays, great looking design, more light with better beam spread for all packages and DOT approval.
