I am going to withhold some info for obvious reasons however here is a summary based on my plans today.

There will most likely be two new headlight systems available by mid year...maybe a little later (disclaimer--things pop up that are unforeseen).

The first will be a popup based kit that will plug and play (no wiring mods required..simple tools to install). It will use relays and direct battery voltage, will use a total of four light sources, two of which (low beam) will be projectors. You will have your choice of going all halogen (smokes the current headlight already) or HID projector low beams/halogen highs. Yes they are DOT approved...there will be a few other nice little options that will be released later.

The second will be a fixed kit using the same options/specs as above. I have seen and heard about a few other fixed kits and believe we can do better and provide a better value.

First milestone is popup protos in halogen...ETA is around May. The light sources I am using are not available until May. Intro sale to occur soon after.

Second milestone is fixed protos in halgoen... ETA is June and same on the intro sale.

I had hoped to have something out quicker but I decided to use newer technology that unfortunately isn't available quite yet.

Hope that helps.

This has been on here for so long now. Will this ever be available? If no update soon, suggest that Moderator remove it.

Delete if you want. I can wait to post anything until I have protos done. If you look about three or four post up you will see that I said ETA was "May". I am still waiting for modules from the mfr. Not much I can do until then.

Who are you to suggest that anything be removed just because it appears to be prolonged in your time frame?

Do you have any idea how long the AFR Heads were anxiously awaited before they were finally deliverd into retail production in July of 2004?

I didn't think so.

If you don't like the post or the schedule, move on and let the rest of us, who have the patience to wait for the quality product no one else has chosen to deliver, have the opportunity to contribute to its development!

Hey mray, since we are all in wait mode here, how about some info on your fixed lights.

Have you done any developement at all on them? Will they be installed in such a way that a lens that keeps the body shape of a flipped down stock light will work, or will the fixed lights have a lens cover with big nasty bulges like other non-pop-ups currently available? Ya know what I mean?

Or will you just be offering mounts and lamp assemblies and we have to worry about a cover/lens for the opening? What's up with that?

Thanks,
Cliff

Fom all the posts you can see we are all tired of the lit cigar light output of the stock light. My only suggestion is to speed up the process and get them to us quick!!!!!!!!!

All my headlight kits will use the same modules I am currently waiting on.

For the fixed units, my goal is to use the same contour-outline shape of the popup headlight hood (or top piece) as the dimensions for the mold. I have done some playing and based on some mock up work, I am fairly sure we can do it...I prefer to do it that way.

All my kits will be 100% complete...all thats needed is a car with bad headlights, an owner with some cash, a few tools, and about an hour.

I will do it as quickly as I can.
