Not all C6 drivers are stuckup! I got a wave from a C6 driver last week who turned out to be a neighbor I had never met....then he let me drive his car!! Cool neighbor!!
It wasn't me I wave my *** off to all other Vettes I see on the road. I've even chased a few down to wave, BTW- my apologies to one Torch Red C5 owner in Diamond Bar if you're a member, I wasn't chasing you to showoff but to wave.
One thing to consider about the perceived snottiness may be this:
Many of the C6 owners are first time Vette owners but this affects them differently than the way you may think.
Chances are many of them are just plain scared driving the car and are all consumed just trying to drive it and not F' up and hit something. Driving a Vette is not the same as driving most any other car on the road and controling a Vette to the point of relaxing when you drive is worked up to slowly and not automatically for some.
I'm not trying to defend C6 owners to anyone, just thinking out loud.
Maybe he didn't wave because he is young and its his first vette, hence new C6. Give him the benefit of the doubt that he has yet to learn the CODE. Next time give him an even bigger wave and shame him. Another possibility is he is scared S_____less to let go the wheel of his new vette. When I got my new Z06 I drove it like I had polo and I did miss a few waves. (basically to avoid a crash). Most guys figure somethings up. See what happens and keep us updated.
I wave at Vette's all the time and usually get a nice big wave back... I even wave at the occasional Mustang/Viper/Porsche/etc... just one big happy sports car family in our small town! Mustang owners seem to get a kick out of it when I wave at them, even have had a couple pull in at gas stations behind me to talk, nice folks.
Sorry this guy didn't wave, maybe it was his Mom's or Dad's car and he didn't know... SAVE THE WAVE!
Let's not turn this into a generation war and just say this particular guy was not a "Vette guy".
hence my original post - that the C6 is attracting more non-enthusiasts than I can ever remember before on the C4 and C5.
Like someone else stated... it's the beginning of the end (of the wave).
How about this... C6 drivers are to initiate the wave first. That way all the rest of the entire Corvette brotherhood won't feel dissed by them starting the wave and getting snobed in return.

I've been doing it that way since picking up the car in October and will continue in the same fashion. I do not see why being first is bad.
I have had plenty of return waves so I got no reason to bitch.
I always thought that would be one of the reasons that it's good to be a Vette owner, to be part of the Corvette Brotherhood.
No one told me about the wave when I first bought my Vette. I learned about it on the streets when others waved to me. I thought it was the only polite thing to do to wave back. BTW, I initiated and got a return wave from the only Vette I saw today, a C5 also.
Same here, and it only took me a couple days to figure it out. Since then I wave at every vette I see. When I was in a rental for 4 months after the accident it was hard to suppress, but I want anyone thinking I was a dolt wannabe for waving from a Grand Am.
My experience with returned waves hasn't been as much generational (vette or driver) as it has been divided by gender. Seems women alone in vettes don't feel comfortable waving, or can't spot other vettes like I seem to from miles away, or it's simply that nobody taught them. I understand the concern if it's a safety thing, but a nice never hurts, and another vette guy woud be unlikely to misinterpret this, wouldn't we?
