I start the car up a couple days ago and the light comes on. At first, no noticeable issues. The next day, the light is still on and I started to feel hesitations in the engine right after startup. After it warmed up it was fine. The following day, fine at startup, but hesitating when warm. The codes that I'm seeing are:
PCM P0171 H/C - Fuel Trim System Lean bank 1-B
PCM P0174 H/C - Fuel Trim System Lean bank 2-B
The funny thing is, a couple of days after I got fuel at my local BP station, they started to tear it down and are in the process of replacing their underground fuel tanks...hmmmm?
My car is a 2000 coupe MN6 with 57K miles.
I have yet to replace the fuel filter, can that be a possible cause?
I would check the air bridge and MAF connections for an air leak! Check everything from the TB to the air filter. Make sure that the plastic accordian tube or plastic air bridge are NOT deformed (crimped) due to the hose clamps being too tight!.
