so where did you find the part to connect your OEM cats to this setup since the one shipped is wrong?? Can you PM me where I can buy these?
Daev
I'm not using the stock cats, I purchased Thunderbolt metalic core 3" Highflows from Performance-Curve.
To use the stock cats you would need a 3" to 2.5" reducer or the 3" to 2.5" Ball flange referenced earlier in the thread between the Headers and Cats. Summit Racing has both...
3" - 2.5" Ball flange - part # FLO-15925
3" - 2.5" Cone Reducer - part # FLO-R3025

Hope that helps...
ok so it is just a matter of buying new cats and everything will work? I imagine you need to keep your length in check otherwise things wont bolt up. Do they make a specific connector to connect the 3" cats to the header and to the x pipe since the OEM stuf wont work? Isn't that X pipe 2.5"? Id have to go from the 3" collector to a 3" cat, then from the 3" cat outlet to 2.5" x pipe? Im kinda lost. What all ddi you need to purchase aside from the headers?
I recieved my A.I.R. Tubes today. The pipes seem, a little too short but I'm sure it'll be different on the Headers. Same as the original Headers, no threads, you can either tap the flange mounting holes or use nuts and bolts... I'm opting for nuts and bolts as the flange looks too thick to tap easily!
The last word I recieved from SS was that they were gong to include the A.I.R. tubes in the Header set, whoever recieves the next set, can you verify?
Mike Norris Installed My E Bay Headers About A Week Ago. Like He Mentioned In This Thread. They Were Not Ligning Up Down Below And Had To Custom Fit Them.
They Look Great Sound Great And Hopefully Last A Few Years
I Had My Car Dyno Tuned After The Install But, Dont Have The Befor #s
I Am Going To Moroso Tonight To See If I Gained
So, If I Gained Anything And Have A Nice Looking Set Of Headers That Last... The $1,200.00 I Spent On The Headers , Install And Custom Work To Connect Them Will Be Well Worth The Money.
Mike Will Probably Disagree - He Had To Install Them ( It Probably Was A Nightmare Compared To The Top Brands
So, I Say To You Guys Buy Them
$1200 did they kiss you afterward or give you a towel to dry off?
I'm drilling my Headers for the AIR Tubes now... I'll post some pics when I get done. I'm getting them welded on HOPEFULLY tomorrow, I got a local Technical school that offers welding to do it for free for me...
The X Pipe actualy, the Headers flanges look perfect. The X Pipe had a litttle bit of pipe protruding past the Catback flange on each side, I think I posted a pic of it...
Did you want a before and after of that?
Did yours arrive yet? Let me know if you got the AIR Tubes included...
FYI Even if you don't need em in Miss. you might move or sell that Vette and no emissions on the Headers may limit you...
From: Biloxi MS Theres something happenin' here, What it is ain't exactly clear.....
Reposted info from Version 1.0 of these headers -
I can only assume the same is true for Version 2.0
Here is a Q & A asked and answered about a set with an x-pipe:
Q: why are you selling this item so cheap??? is something wrong with the material??? how do they compare to other brands like LG or KOOKS???
A: This item is made in the US, so we have cut out the middle man. This is a quality item. They are stainless steel and come with an awesome two year warranty.Thank you for your inquiry

I decided that it's a quarter to 2 and I haven't slept in two days!
I'm actually considering a hose clamp! I want to see if it really flops around alot. My older Vettes didn't have thier's supported come to think about it...
do you have a part # for that 3" stepped band clamp? I thought both tht cat and the collector were 3"
EDIT: I thinK I found what I needed: I ordered FLO-R3025 and 2 WLK-33272. That look right to you?
