Hey guys.. i have a 224/228 on a 114 untuned in my car with straight pipes. I failed the emissions test because i cleared all of the codes. If i dont clear the code im going to throw a check engine light. If i get my car tuned would this help out the situation, or am i fighting a lost cause?
P0113 Intake Air temperature (IAT) Sensor Circuit High Voltage -B C
P1111 Intake Air temperature (IAT) Sensor Circuit Intermittent High Voltage -C C

U1064 Loss Of Communication with DCM (No SOH Message Received -RFA H
U1016 Loss Of Communication with PCM (No SOH Message Received -RFA H
C2120 TPM System malfunction (No Sensors Received -TPM HC
Looks like if you just fix your wonky Intake Air Temp sensor, you'll be good to go.
You probably know you need a tune...
any ideas what could be the matter with it? i obviously have an intake, it seems like i could be using the wrong coupler to attach it, but would that be a problem? buy a new sensor?
Get it tuned by someone good and have them turn off any remaining codes that are thrown. I run a 230-236 112 in a H/C engine and FAST intake with LS2 TB and I don't through any codes at all.....That anyone will ever see.
Looks to me that you have an IAT issue that needs resolution, try to diagnose and correct it. The rest of the codes shouldn't be an issue for emissions.
The tune is NOT your problem!! You have an electrical or sensor problem that is causing the MIL to set. Fix the:
P0113 Intake Air temperature (IAT) Sensor Circuit High Voltage -B C
P1111 Intake Air temperature (IAT) Sensor Circuit Intermittent High Voltage -C C
B0521 Tachometer Signal Circuit Malfunction H
The other codes should not be emissions related and wont effect the emissions test.
Before you go back and have your emissions rechecked, clear all the codes and then, you will need to complete the driving cycle portion of the PCM test before it will pass the emissions test.
I have the procedure at home (on the road to a C5 car show in Canada ) and will post it when I get home if no one else does.
Clear all your codes then drive it around at least 30 minutes and recheck your codes. Post any codes that return. All those U codes don't look good, but was probably the result of a dead battery at some point in time. Other codes may also be from a dead battery. Clear then, drive it, check and post the codes that return.
