You don't ever need those stupid pucks if you have rocker rails
You can jack anywhere along the side with em, they protect the rocker panels, are great with a lift, and you never need to worry about some idiot forgetting the pucks because these are always on there.
Pucks suck Go puckless

I think I'd be interested in those if a GP was offered. Then I'd sell my hockey pucks for $10.

I was wondering when someone else besides A&A Corvette would offer these.
Those are nice The problem I see for some may be that they cover the T-Slots. I use the slots for the tie down straps in my car trailer.

Jim Booth from Corvette Accessories Unlimited here!

We are waiting to get them back to analyze what could have happened as we have sold well over 10,000 JP’s and have not heard of any failures before. We feel that there could have been an air pocket, but that seems unlikely for more than one. Heat or cold should not make any difference on the product, nor when they were made.

We went with this type of product in the beginning when we heard complaints that the others were sliding on racks and jack stands as they were metal to metal, plus ours are a little thicker to allow for different kind of Jacks.

We will analyze them with our the company that makes the rubber part of the JP’s when we get them back. He can not understand what happened either.

Questions you may call us directly at 262-783-4228.

it is nice to see a vendor standing up behind his product. I appreciate that, but I believe the mode of failure was probably a side load on the small section that inserts into the frame rail. I can't imagine rubber could take any bit of a side load.

Those are gorgeous! I would however like to make a suggestion.. I notice that the Jacking pad is thicker than the rest of the rail.. In a lowered car.. the point of the rail is to give a supportive surface to slide over in the event the bottom of the car makes contact..

While sliding during full contact you are going to Catch on that raised edge and experience a hell of a hit..

Any possibility of making the thickness uniform?

We have sold many of these in this configuration. However, I am always open to suggestions.

Here was my thought process. The rails themselves are 3/8" thick aluminum (enough to clear the rocker panel). The actual lifting/jacking pad portion is 5/8" thick. Therefore the only part that sticks out is 1/4" thick. I was trying to keep these low profile so they would not be too noticeable.

However, if we get enough feedback to keep them at a constant thickness, I can make them all 1/2" thick.

What do you think?

If they were 1/2" thick throughout would they be noticeable while looking at the sides?

No, I do not think so. To be honest, you really can't see the 5/8" thick lifting pads that I currently have installed on the C5's.

Also that is one of the reasons we have these powder-coated in black....to make them invisible!

I have these and jack with rubber puck anyways...and place the jack where the jack holes are as well.

..........didn't know you could use a lift on them as also ??

Despite the fact that I too have the aluminum 'rails', I only lift the car from the front/rear crossmembers anyway. Much easier and quicker. I have a long-frame low-profile jack so I can just slide it under the front or back and lift either end effortless. Then I can put the jackstands on the frame rails themselves.

Everyone,

I have to thank CAU-LLC in regard to this issue. They have been more than accomodating towards me and I'm glad this defect has been found with no serious injury to myself or anyone else. I'm more than happy to help them improve their product by sending these back to them for analysis. I also spoke to them on the phone today and they were very friendly and helpful. Its very nice to see a vendor stand behind their product like this even if it does fail. We'll keep you posted!
