I had that problem once in the distant past
The engine just died. never reocurred
I'd check the codes and see if theres anything untoward. If not, clear them and see if it occurs again. probably not

How are you checking the DTCs ??? Aftermarket scanner or the built in code reader that displays the DTCS on the DIC???
What MODs do you have?
Check for vacuum leaks.
Does the car miss or studder at idle or under load?
Have you ever cleaned your MAF? Recommend doing that!!
Have you ever cleaned your Throttle Body? Recommend doing that!!!
Is the throttle blade free to move and free to return to the at rest position when you let it go from fully open? (Remember,,it will NOT go fully shut and will be slightly OPEN when the ignition is off!)
Check the intake tract between the TB and the MAF! It MUST be sealed and can NOT leak any air! If it does, it can cause this kind of symptoms.
Check all that out and let us know what you find and do.
