Default installed ebay headers whoo hoo ssac

I just got done installing ebay headers and xpipe and an aftermarket custom intake (carbon fiber bridge and lage k&n filter) took out the cats and had my car tuned alls i can say is WOW. Its an 03 z06 now with 380 rwhp and 365 rwtq. I am very happy with the set up. No cutting bending or extentions needed just direct bolt on. Money well spent. Special thanks to tstar and the forum for making me purchuse these long tube headers and xpipe so cheap $420 shipped. Thanks to all for the help you know who you are. Thanks mike

sounds like tstar is breaking forum rules and should become a vendor on here. Every post one of you guys makes you have to mention his name.

I call that advertising.

tstar didn't do anything here. He was merely mentioned in a "thank you". In my opinion, he is not advertising.

Sure pal

If i was a seller like him I could have a buddy post a fake WOOO HOO for my header post every month or so like he does.

It just so happens Tim supplies these headers to others for test fitments and he has nothing to do with their sale of any kind right?

Tstar. denys being a reseller but he is or at then very least an advertiser for a non vendor supported product. Why is his name mentioned in every post concerning these headers then? Put 2 and 2 together. He is bypassing becoming a vendor on here multiple times. My opinion is this is not fair at all to all of the vendors here who in my opinion offer a better product and do not use the forum as their Ginnie pig to develop the product.

So how's it going?

Tim
So you see Tim arranges group purchases and things and gets his kick backs by further promoting the item. He has done it with this and with other products here.

Mods your thoughts?

Op do you have a dyno sheet of that claimed HP on these headers?

TSTAR TSTAR TSTAR TSTAR TSTAR TSTAR TSTAR TSTAR TSTAR

You need to chill - not everyone has a suspicious nature like you do or thinks everyone has alternatives motives or is a crook--You said it all
"If I was a seller like him " Well 2 things---You're NOT -If the vendors have a problem with them--let THEM worry about it and 2nd It just proves your way of thinking --Who would even think about something as ridiculous as having a buddy post a fake E-Mail--
I've been to their office---It's behind the picket fence on the grassy knoll----

I actually bought them directly from ssac on ebay $369 for headers and xpipe plus shipping $60 tstar just helped me with all of my questions about them.

no cats included with that price. I had a shop make me cat delete pipes.

the welds look great thats what i think and also the 2 performance shops said.

I think they revised them because that is 2 or 3 sets i have heard of that have came out perfect in the past few months

Add one more to that; I just installed them on my wife's car today. No real issues other than having to jack the motor up to get the drivers side in,( same as my KOOKs) and no place provided to bolt the dip stick tube to ( I made a bracket)
They look great and no problem with alignment or O2 sensor placement. My wife and I installed headers, x-pipe, and SLP 1.85s in a total of about 4 1/2 hrs.
I love my KOOKs, but if I had to do over, the price sure would make them attractive With the money you save, you could buy another mod and easily match the hp of some of the other headers It just seems crazy to charge $1200-$1400 for C5 headers, and F-bodies cost 1/3 that!
Oh, and for the KFs benifit. Thanks TSTAR!!

Ok whatever guys I believe you lol

He supplies them for testing to other members but has nothing to do with sales of them.

Thanks to Tim, I've got some headers to test fitment with. I'm gonna have to pull the tranny to get the headers to seat all the way on the head but that was expected seeings how I'm running a F-body tranny. The measurments so far suggest they are going to be to wide but until I can get them to seat all the wasy I won't know for sure. They definitely won't clear the frame side of the motor mounts.
When other members cars have caught on fire due to these headers and others have had other issues they tell people to talk to tstar their corvette contact. I call that a sales rep.

Junior members can always be believed OF COURSE lol

Then why must TSTAR just some dude need to be thanked in every post regarding these crappy headers? I don't see people thanking Peter Pan on every sale of American racing headers or Whom ever else on every sale of LG Motorsport headers.

SS "super sucky" autochrome has appointed this guy as the contact to other members. THat speaks volumes in itself.

If you want to chime in and start some flame war go for it but the facts are facts. The search engine feature "tstar" proves that.

Why? Because this guy helps no questions asked and he does it because he is a geniune guy (that you don't find that much any more) and offers his help any given time of any given day. If you have something against him so be it, but just because you over paid for your headers doesn't mean that you have to flame every thread. We are just tring to get the word out there that everyone doesn't have to pay corvette tax (high prices for nothing different) and that there are other options out there. Sorry for tring to save people money and let them know that these really work and that they are really a great deal.

That is called advertising. You can post your mods and if someone asks you about them so be it. Simply blasting the forum with wow i got cheap headers they can be found here for this much really is breaking the rules in my opinion. I choose to support vendors who support this site and provide TRUE customer service.

I have no beef with tstar. He is ss's test subject and spokes person they refer people to. If there is some deal he gets out of that that is his business but posts like this and "we just want people to know" seems like advertising more so than a favor in my opinion.

Do these headers still have mild steel flanges?

It really is something different than what you get with other products. A well known vendor that installed SS's have been quoted that the install was horrible when compared to others. If you are going to advertise a product i think all good and bad points should be stated other wise you have a biased opinion simply because you paid for them and are emotionally inclined to defend your purchase.

why try to continue to undercut supporting vendors with posts like these is all my point is.

Hope you do not have the same issues Teddy did

MY CAR CAUGHT FIRE BECAUSE OF THESE. I had moved the AC line as much as I could and while at the tuner getting a dyno tune the AC line got to hot near the header and lit up. Glad they had a fire extinguisher near. They did sound good and are a deal, but they are cheap for a reason. I have heard that they made changes since I bought them, but I am not going to take my chances again and will save for a good set. I also ordered a set of Ford 5.4L headers from this same place and when I went to install them the flange hit the head casting. They ignored my emails and never did resolve that issue. Just my .02
