Re: C5 Intercooled ProCharger system now available! (CRUZMISL)
why would one choose a supercharger over a good head and cam package? It seems to me if you get a good H&C that the power output would be similar for a bit less money.
Joe
Hey Joe,
Many owners, myself included, opt not to make changes to engine components. We prefer a BOLT on Kit of some sort where the motor itself is minimally involved. In addition, you can always go back to stock if you need to and for the most part, you can not tell that an SC was under the hood.
Some use NOS for this reason, but once again, I'm not in favor of NOS. As far as the SC, the blower also looks good but thats quite secondary as far as I'm concerened - its more of an icing on the cake. If I had it my way, TT would be my choice but even ARE's TT, which still isn't out yet, is said to be around $12,500 plus shipping. In addition, its also much more difficult if not impossible, I believe, to go back to stock with a TT. I might accept this fact if TT PRICES were lower because I favor TT technology over SC BUT an SC at $6500 is hard to resist as long as its a no BS Warranty. In fact, I will get a copy of ATI's warranty and will have my lawyer look it over.

Hey Tom,
I am interested in the ATI SC. However, I'd like to know about the validity of this complaint and how ATI intends, if they do intend, to satisfy this customer. http://www.bennettracing.com/bbs/messages/831.html
Re: C5 Intercooled ProCharger system now available! (O-Ace)
We've been selling ATI systems for awhile and haven't had any major problems with them. Once in awhile a kit may be missing a few parts but they are quickly sent out by ATI. I've found their tech support to be very helpful and am very comfortable with that. I'm not just saying this because we carry their kits. We also carry another brand of supercharger that I won't name (it's not Vortech). We've had tons of headaches with their tech support, products being shipped extremely slow or orders missing parts that aren't out sent out quickly. We don't recommend this brand of supercharger anymore because I don't feel comfortable with the level of support that they provide us and the customer.
I don't know all the details so I don't want to comment on the post above, but I'm just giving you feedback based on our experience.
Re: C5 Intercooled ProCharger system now available! (CRUZMISL)
Holy poopie.........finaly a supercharger kit that does not cost that much more than an F Body Kit...I love competition. The trick now will be if you can buy the kit an install it yourself.......who is going to do the really hard part......the computer programming...."Superchips". I just had my ARE Heads and Cam completed and yes I like the thought of adding a supercharger just for poopies and giggles!
ATI along with Vortech make quality products...- Learned this in the Mustang world myself.
I definitely agree with your PowerDyne comment. But "that post on some board" as you put it could be you or me one day. Then you and I could be posting someting similar and then suddenly its important, right? Don't you think thats how that owner feels right about now?
It would be nice to know what issues a manufacturer will resolve and what issues they won't. I'm just very cautious with those kinds of things. I know what I can expect from ARE or even perhaps MTI - I'd like to know what I can expect from Procharger. But thats just me.
Re: C5 Intercooled ProCharger system now available! (blackjack)
The kits are 49 state legal and it comes with a Power Programmer that is made for ATI. You usually can't combine aftermarket programmers. I've had Ed Wright take the speed govenor out of vehicles and then use programming that came with a supercharger so that wasn't a problem but I wouldn't go any further than that.
We don't have any pictures of a kit installed yet. I'm working on getting something now.
Re: C5 Intercooled ProCharger system now available! (SilverStar)
SilverStar, Im not sure about an installer in California but we will be installing ATIs kit here in Tempe, AZ. As soon as we receive our kit (for a customer), we will post pics and results. Our dyno will be in place by then also. Thanks and email or call us if you need further info.

Ha Ha, I like the way you are thinking, me also. I am more than intersted in this kit. I need to know if it will bolt straight on a car with Cartek stg 2 heads and cam.???? I would also like to see how it looks. Very important to me.
Re: C5 Intercooled ProCharger system now available! (Nate@xtreme)
Correct, this kit doesn't have an EO number for CA. A few people have taken the plunge already so there should be alot of details posted in a few weeks. I'll keep the info coming as I get it.

Re: C5 Intercooled ProCharger system now available! (Peach)
Sorry, I missed that one. I'd check with Cartek to see what they think. If they were built for a naturally aspirated car the compression might be a little on the aggressive side. Depending on how high it is you could probably get away with running 5# of boost, but a custom computer program will be needed because your mods will be beyond what the programming that comes with the kit will cover.
