I was thinking the same thing....LOL

Big power equals broken driveline parts and the on-going journey of finding "the next weakest link"!

2000 FRC 75k daily driver rain or shine. Slave cylinder leaked causing need to replace clutch, master and slave, also had pedal sticking to floor problem which seems to have gone away since clutch replacement. Battery leaked onto computer fixed by GM. No other issues so far.

2000 - Coupe - A4 - 33,000 miles - Stock - Performance Tune - VaraRam - Cat-back exhaust.

Only ONE "problem" in all 8 years:

Drivers rear axle seal replaced (slightly seeping - replaced before it became more of a problem)

2001 coupe had a disaster of a differential - In for warranty work - 4 times for leaks that they could never fix. Dumped it at 35K miles before the warranty ran out. Current 03 Z06 bad battery and drivers window lift in first 500 MIles. Since then, very reliable even with 7-8K of track miles. Only problem was a leaking differential half shaft seal.

Blown tranny parts as a result of the dreaded aluminum 3/4 shift fork. Replaced synchros, shift fork, slider keys and shift pads. Also electrical issues from bad grounds and/or burnt O2 sensor wires.

2002 vert with 82,000 miles driven 2-3 day a week. Lost the A4 at 78,000 miles. Fixed the EBCM last summer and just put in a new oil pressure sender in last Saturday. One of these days I'll get around to fixing the rocking drivers seet. Only other expenses have been consumables like, tires, battery, belts/hoses, brake pads, etc..

Only unscheduled repair I've had is replacing the starter at 75K. Other than that, drop dead reliable old car. The most fun you can have with your clothes on.

I drove my 2004 z daily back in 2005(August) when I first got it. rain, snow, whatever. Turned the key and drove it. The column lock thing made the car stall out a few times. CLB, and CAGS, no problems since. 26,000 miles on it now. I'd take it anywhere without fear.

AMEN - same here. Only problems I've had with my '04 were self-induced. It goes with the (mod) territory.

2002 coupe with 76000 mi. No significant problems until recently: battery , water pump, ABS and active handling and oil sender- oh, and another bad experience of delay and too much money spent at the local chevy dealer.....but I still love the C5.

C-5s x2 in this family. '02 vert w/ 67k and an '03 Z06 w/ 30k. Both daily drivers. '02 has had 5 door modules in it,2 left and 3 right. Window fell out of the soft top but reliable otherwise. Zo6 has been perfect up to the last month when the passenger window stuck for a day then started working again. I don't count the new battery each of them needed after 4-5 years of driving. Way better than the wifes c-4.

2. Replaced HVAC control unit.
3. Replaced HVAC actuator.
4. Column lock
5. Replaced Delco batt due to notorious leaking problem

had the door lock relay go out. Fixed it with the tips here on the forum for 20 bucks and 2 hrs of my time.

Supercharged '01 W/36k miles. Pretty reliable car. Never driven in rain.

2001 Vert

1. Rering due to excessive oil consumption
2. transaxle leak

hmmm...gotta look up that door lock relay thing. I've noticed that my passenger side door won't unlock with the fob every time.
