installing new lifters
I'm installing new lifters. Which direction should the lifter oiling hole face:
1)Towards the front of the motor (front of the car)
2)Towards the rear of the motor (rear of the car)
3)It doesn't matter

I faced all mine out towards the oil gallery, but mine were Morels and the oil hole is 90 degrees different than GM lifters.

The correct answer is....it does not matter.
Although I faced all of mine towards the front of the engine, strictly for aesthetics of course.

I used Caddy racing lifters! I faced ALL mine towards the rear!!! In my opinion,,,,,it doesnt matter! As long as the orfice is inside the oil passage.
