Looks like something has changed with OBX since they are no longer offering the exhaust system for corvettes. They used to be all over ebay for around $599 and now they only offer their headers. I guess I should have jumped on the auction when it was available. Even OBX's website shows nothing for corvettes.
ssautochrome and obx are out of stock. i got email from ssa that headers now are under development. obx said they will have them back in stock in around two weeks( which of course gonna take much longer)
Back on after a long time love mine with ls2 heads and a torquer v2 cam my entire set up made 427 to the rear with dino sheets love the set up and still get good gas mileage 22-27 on the highway still working on some idle issues but they will come around
In case you haven't figured it out yet, OBX and SSAC are not the same design. I know this because I have them installed. TStar's comparison pic on the first page is proof.

are we clear? lol you are not winning in battles kid. Buy whatever the hell you want. I will talk crap about it if i do not like it.
I know it's not ls1 related but is OBX AND SSAC related my friend Phuong made 639awhp/631 ftlbs of torque on his OBX manifold that is heat wrapped in his 98 Mits Eclipse on e-85 and traps 137mph. It's puts out double the power then most vettes on this forum and he hasn't had any issues with these "get what you pay for parts". He also runs this through a $295 SHIPPED SSAC fmic(search eclipse fmic on ebay) with no heat soak. http://abq-dsm.com/phpbb/viewtopic.p...er=asc&start=0. Not everything is cut and dry I have had "name brand" crap out more on me then the "cheap stuff". Some things I wouldn't go cheap on like my scm6152sp(gt35r) but it's hard to mess up on some piping.
And Ill show you that this exhaust works perfectly fine!!! Do you have OBX headers installed? Ill leave you with this...Charlie from RPM saw the headers a few times now and said they are just as good as all the name brand headers. Charlie has a minimum of 10 bad *** vettes in his shop everytime I go up there. Those of you that know him or have heard of him know that he is a corvette master! His word holds quite a bit more weight than yours! IMO the customer support at OBX may not be as good but the quality and performance is just as good (look at my dyno sheets before and after the headers)! I have over 10k on the headers now and not a single prob here. I am just tired of all the negative comments!! Don't knock it before you have tried it and have some proof!
They've gone up in price from the early postings. I got mine without a group discount for around $700. Adding cats are another $200-300, if you don't have them laying around like I did, plus they had to be modified for a ball flange.
If you add up the labor charges from someone else, it adds to the price if you can't do the work yourself by a considerable amount.
3 hours to modify the cats and have them rewelded.
1 hour to reweld the driver side O2 bung so the O2 sensor doesn't hit the transmission tunnel plate. This can be ommitted if you are willing to cut a hole in the plate instead.
1 hour to dimple the transmission tunned plate to give a bit more clearance for the o2 wiring on both sides. I could have given a little more angle on the side I rewelded. I saw Jesse James do this with a bike tank and it works great with just a ball peen hammer and supporting the back with a sand bag.
1 hour for adding another o2 bung for an external wideband O2 sensor.
1 hour for dimpling the driver side header where it's resting on the bell housing
This also didn't include new wire for the welder (for welding 304) and a small bottle of Argon for the welder.
.....So you can kind of filter through what I did and draw up a list yourself. I'm probably pickier than most on how I do things, plus everything was done in my garage except the first welding on the CATs. I didn't have the right wire at the time. In the end, the LG's may have been a better deal. It depends on your skill level and what you want to have a shop do.
and one other thing I forgot, the O2 sensor extension for $40 (2 x$20) You could easiy extend the wires yourself with some wire, solder, heat shrink and heat shielding for about 10-20 bucks.

Sounds like you might as well buy a good set of headers
