I'll post the contact info since this is not currently offered by any supporting vendors I know of. However, I do not want to post prices since others in this thread are working on a setup to possibly sell here on the CF
Yeah and not to jump in but it really is a nice feature...believe me, that's probably why it comes on a new C6.
For one thing, for guys it really ain't that big a deal but for your girl....if she's driving your car and it's late in a parking lot at night or something, she doesn't even have to look for the key, just walk up to the car and open the door.
If it's pouring down rain, again...no need to look for the key...just hop in
If you've got your hands totally full of stuff and don't feel like setting something down on the ground just to dig in your pocket for the key, you don't even have to....
Also, with that intelligent key setup...it's usually set up to where you can't lock your keys in the car or trunk on an FRC, it would actually pop your trunk back open and flash the lights if you left your keys in your gym back or something and accidentally shut em' in the trunk.
There are a couple of advantages...

I've locked my key fob in the trunk and been locked out of the C6 twice in the past year! Is there a way to program the OEM door locks/starter to work if the key fob is anywhere within the vehicle, including the trunk?
I remember a story my grandfather told me as a young boy. When the first electric start was offered on the horseless carriage, some guy was quoted as saying "Is it that hard to crank the engine, you sissy boy".

Sounds like a wise man to me. People are so lazy today they need cars to park themselves, too lazy to even turn a KEY-wonder why America has weight problems???
A Corvette is also not a race car but I see lots of people trying to make it one here. My Corvette has the most Luxury items I have compared my my other cars, maybe we should strip them down like a bone stock 1960's era car then and put a hand crank on the engine?

We got enough electronic issues with the ABS TRAC going crazy every 100 starts... don't need anymore!!
"Will StarDrive work on my vehicle?
The simple answer is yes it will work. You will need the "right" technician / shop to do the installation. On late model cars there are immobilizers, can-bus, and complex integrated security systems.
Do your home work, verify what you want, and discuss your options with a qualified technician."
Yeah I cant even guess that installation charge to figure out how to make it work.

Some Corvettes are race cars, our car car is set up with a master on-off switch and a push to start button. Of course we run a ecm only, no bcm at all. By the way, the only luxury item that we have is coolbox.
Ok this thread is super old but the thought crossed my mind today. I'm pretty sure this is very possible. Seems like you could just pull the push button starting system out of a car and wire it up. Might take a little doing but don't see it not being possible. Yes turning a key is pretty easy, but something cool like a push button start is just a rare cool factor is all.
