Default Best Spark Plug Wires

I seen a post a month or so back with a link for nascar like spark plug wires they had all braided metal sleeves I think they were like a $150.

The reason is I am going to be installing headers and I dont know if I should use my stock ones or get these any thoughts? Waste of money stockers work fine?

Save your money on gimmick wires. The LS engine has such short wires it doesn't matter what you run. I agree with the GMPP wires. With headers though consider the cool sox or similar product to protect them from the heat.

That's right; ohms per foot really doesn't factor in here with such a short lead length.

Most aftermarket wires are going to have decent continuity and provide
a great path for voltage with such a short distance.

I grabbed a set of MSD wires for my SS and all is well. With my headers,
the boot sleeves are always good insurance.

Looks and price will be your criteria for selection IMO.

I've seen them pretty cheap in Advance Auto compared to the Vette parts sellers.

Here's my advice on saving your stock wires. Next to impossible. They will be so stuck to the plugs, unless someone has lubed them with dielectric silicone, that you will destroy them trying to remove them. When I swapped my plugs I only could salvage 3 out of 8 wires.

I bought the Callaway plug wires (http://shop.callawaycars.com/product...&productId=111) when I had my headers installed a few years ago. I liked how they looked and the angled ends, and supposedly they are high-quality. No problems at all.

Just another alternative.

Save your money on plug wires.

IF,,,,,,,you need new wires,,,the GM Performance Red Wires are the best bang for the buck. They perform very well and the quality is by far some of the best out there. Fit, form and function vrs price. They have my vote.

I run headers in my C5 ZO6 and C6 Coupe and have never had problems with the wires and headers.
Cool Socks are good insurance if you think that you need them.

GMPP wires are great. I however ended up ordering some Taylor Thundervolt wires and a set of cool sox from summit for both of my Z06's. PM me an I'll get you the part #'s!

I got a set of the LS2/LS7 wires. They have a 90 degree angled boot on the end and went on perfect. They are a bit more than the GMPP wires though.

The GMPP's were on back order when I needed to order a set for my first Z06 and because I'm Canadian and GmPartshouse only ships UPS, I chose to save on duty, brokerage and time and just order the Taylors that Summit had in stock and have them ship via the USPS to help me save a few bucks. I was pleased with the quality of the Taylors so I bought them for my current car as well.
