Default balancer install

need to tighten my cam bolts after supercharger install since i am throwing cam sensor code, my crank is already pinned so after i pull the front cover to fix the cam bolts when reinstalling the balancer how am i going to line up the pin i installed? with the balancer being a press on fit i would have to be dead on. or could i heat the balancer hub with a torch to get it pretty hot and be able to just slide it on the crank

I heat mine and it makes the install and or removal SOOOOOOOOO much easier . It will NOT just slide on by hand but,,,you will NOT need to reaf on the bolt to get it to slide on.
Heating the damper HUB to 150-200 degrees will not hurt it. It gets almost that hot during operation.

I agree on the eye ball part. If you lightly RTV the pin on to the slot on the crank,, you should be able to properly align the damper on to that pin so the damper will slide on the correct spot.

Have you checked or replaced the cam sensor? Checked the wiring? What lead you to believe you need to tighten the "cam bolts" which I assume you mean the sprocket to cam bolts?

no not yet, just put on a vortec kit and right after it came off the dyno the cel light came on and it is a common prob that the cam bolts loosen up so for safety i will take them out and loctite the crap out of them, if i still get the same code then i will look into the sensor

Where did you hear that cam sprocket bolts coming loose is a common issue? This is the first I've heard of this happening. Are you reusing old bolts or new? What torque spec?
