I did one a while back, but cant remember what alloy I used, just what we had for doing all of our aluminum cylinder head repair. As for the threads, as stated above, they are M10x1.5, and I would think putting a helicoil in there would be the best option since it may be pretty hard to get the threads lined back up perfect. If you're welder/machinist doesnt have the kit, I still have one from when I did mine.
Please send it to me. I will pay you what ever you need for it and shipping. That way I have it if I need it.
PM Sent
Thanks

Box from Patriot arrived this evening! Yep,,,it was my head. Patriot stepped up to the plate and fixed the head for me.
They actually have a 90 day warranty (had the heads a lot longer than that ) but, said that the head shouldn't have had that issue and repaired it for me. The area that I thought was a crack was actually not a crack but a mark. The place that leaked was on the short side radius and it was a small pit in the casting that surfaced after the machining and use.
Its all fixed and ready to install.
Got a TIG machine all lined up to borrow to fix the starter mount, found a skilled welder buddy and all that left is to get hot. Thanks to 67Ranger, I will have a helicoil kit on the way.
Thanks Chad at Patriot for all your help and patience!
