I'm not sure if I forgot or if I ever knew what is in the red circle is and used for. Can someone tell me?

It's for mounting the optional (race only) saw blades, that extend past the front of the car. Especially useful when racing through a wooded area.

Thanks a lot Lucky13. I really need these saw blades. Actually, I would need to mount snow plow here in Canada.....

It looks like one of the grounding points. Could you be more specific of it's location on the car?

looks to have a rubber bushing of some sort under the washer. if thats the case, would make a poor ground. maybe a suport for an option, or somthing that goes on the Z06 and not the base modle, or somthing for the vert.

It's the head of one of the front cradle mounting bolts-the rivet keeps it from turning when you're installing/removing the nut from under the car.
Look around,you'll find 3 more...

The rubber bushing does nothing to prevent that from being a ground. Metal is still contacting the metal through the screw.

Orealy?
can you give me one example of a factory ground using a rubber bushing between the washer under the bolthead and the frame it is bolted to? just 1 example will do.

Like Carcass stated, Its the captured head of the Cradle bolt. If you look directly below the bolt where it exits the cradle, there will be a LARGE nut securing the cradle. There are THREE more of them up front and four in the back just like it.

You can see the NUT in this pic:




Heres the GROUND Lugs:












NOTE! If you ever have to remove a cradle bolt,, DO NOT use an impact wrench.

No,, SORRY,, but,, I wish I was. I work on a LOT of them and get my hands dirty quite frequently. Being an Ex Submarine Sailor for 26 years sure helps. I enjoy working on them.

Thanks a lot for the answers! It also explains why we cannot use an impact rench when we remove craddle bolts because the some part of the body will need to be removed to access the bolt and stop them from turning. And yes we found 4 ou each side when we parted out that C5 over the weekend.
