Let me tell you, you were lucky, but will not always be.

I was in direct contact with the the owner. A stand up guy! He called me 3 weeks ago to follow up. Its been over a year and 23,000 miles since installed. You can spend the extra $$ to replace with other brand your choice but not needed.

From what I read yella terra had problems but it was supposed to be fixed. Alot of shops prefer it over other products. The biggest issue with after market rockers actually seems to be people not setting them up right. I personally chose the Harland Sharps. Alot of people say they dont like them but they have been great in my car and 0 issues. I am not being a cheer leader for Harland Sharp just saying what I use on my TFS 225's.

I then took a deep breath, considered how I drive my car, and installed the Comp Cams trunnion upgrade kit instead. So far, so good....

Having said that, I have bad memories of something that happened to me a number of years ago, which makes me think twice about valve train 'modifications'. I was setting the valve lash on one of my cars a number of years ago. While doing this, a family member interrupted me with some 'monumental issue', to them anyway, that just couldn't wait until I finished what I was doing. I should have shooed them away, and told them to come back later, but I was way too polite.
Long story short, I didn't get one of the poly-locks tightened properly, and the next time I drove the car, it loosened, which caused the pushrod to pop out of place and ultimately break, and I was VERY lucky that A) I was close to home and limped back; and B) the lifter stayed in place and maintained oil pressure to the engine. Without question, I readily admit that this issue was 100% my fault.
I'm a little suspicious that a broken rocker arm could have the same consequences, therefore my concerns. I'm not bashing YT, just explaining my reluctance to buy a set of their rockers, given the "bad batch" situation, and especially considering that my car is basically a "cruiser", they may be a little overkill for my needs. My only concern was originally raised because of the stories of the OE rockers spitting out their needle bearings....

3rd season on mine, lots of track days, a year or so ago when a few failures started showing up, I contacted Yella Terra and was told my batch wasn't affected, so they'd be ok, and just a month back they e-mailed me as a courtesy to ensure mine were still good, and that I was satisfied with their product. No issues here... I like good customer service!
