Differential "whine"

I had the dealer check it before, they found nothing wrong with it. My vette has about 20,000 miles, dealer said it all checked out. I will have them look at it again, I' ll get back to you. Thanks for the input.

In my honest opinion, I would stay clear of the stealerships as they often charge way too much and don't always have the proper talent to troubleshoot things that are not blatantly broken... There are exceptions but they are very rare.

Your C5 didn't make any weird noises when it ws new, so its NOT normal now.

I have the same problem in my C5 '98 the same annoying noise coming from differential , so you say i need a new ring and the pinion to fix it? im going to take off the diff, to get repair it, but i wanted to know what differential internal parts will i need!
