Good luck and If it were me,,,,,,, Ide drop some coin on a 150 shot for icing on the cake! Once your hooked and down the track some, lay on the bottle!
hah yea, i was thinking "this guy's out of his mind if he thinks he's walking down a 560hp/500tq car with 340whp.."
if it's an M3, that's very do'able.
Power (SAE): 414 hp @ 8,300 rpm; 295 ft lb of torque @ 3,900 rpm

that torque also explains why you should pull on him off the line as well. hell with that, a cam OR headers OR nitrous OR the wheels should do it. stacking on 2 or more of those will just be that much better.
ive put many M3's in their place and we have very similar cars
Your going to have to hook up good to beat him.
M3's have a computerized launch control.( My current daily driver is a 011 M3 ) M3's are capable of mid 12's in the 1/4 , and Your both doing mid 8's in the 1/8 which is low 13's in the 1/4.
Your best of 8.25 is about 12.87 in the 1/4 , so You have a chance.
Well, those are ET street bias ply. They will work good. The car better nearly dead hook with those. Don't forget to put the pedal to the floor on the last yellow. As fast as your foot will move. And do a good burnout.
If you have never driven on the street with them, they will feel funny. Your TPMS will give an error as well, unless they have sensors.
BTW....it isn't like the dude isn't going to notice the new wheels......then the excuse will be "well you have slicks!"
small nos sytem would do it for you. also every 100lb drop in weight is a .10 in e.t. go gettum. steve

Ya Im big on the weight thing and aware of the 100lbs=.10 figure. I think I have done well so far for a smog legal daily driver.
-20 lbs converter, -40 lbs exhaust (straight pipes), one sparco seat when I race -50ish lbs from the seats, I remove all interior pieces I can, CD changer, and things like the window wash reservoir, A/C belt is off, probably another 20-30 lbs in many random things. These new wheels are very light weight next to my OEM Mag wheels too. I have yet to weigh the difference though. I run less than half a tank of fuel to save weight too.
All in all Id say the car is around 200lbs less when I track it.
