Not enough lead time to get new tires (Nitto NT01 front/NT05 rears)

On another note, old man brain fart: I forgot about my oil samples. I just paid for the analysis, so hopefully that will be done soon.

And I'll be running these 5+ year old Michelin PS A/S+ tires.

Tires were May 2012 I believe...doh!
By the way, 34 with snow here this Sunday.
We have a cold front coming in tomorrow night, so Sunday is supposed to be sunny with a high of 55*. About as good as it gets for DA around here.
[voice=ForrestGump]Sorry about your 34* and snow in late March Mr. Bunny with a hammer.[/voice]

But I'm still waiting on getting in my pool. Water temp is still 65* and it'll drop with the cold front this weekend.
I've been running drag radials year 'round, even on trucks. With my vettes, my only real concern was deep standing water causing water ingestion. I've almost* never experienced a problem driving in rain or snow with DRs. I don't drive on ice, period.
Yeah wheels were on my list (MRR-755) until that last bill. It'll have to wait. But I'll probably run what I have and just get a drag pack.
*Hit a rainfall deluge in Des Moines coming back from Drag Week 2017. M/T ET Street S/S.

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
Somehow I think the cars previous best of 12.8@112mph will be easily eclipsed.
This is what we woke up to today:
First pass 12.639 @ 110.14
1.942 60'
Competitive mode, 20lbs in the rears, launched just off idle. I'll load the converter a little the next time.
Temp is about 45* and head wind that's at least 15 mph.
Weight is 3,450 lbs with me in it and 3/4 tank of gas.
Car feels a little lazy; definitely needs more gear.

Round->Dial-in->60' ET->1/4 ET->1/4 MPH
TT1->n/a->1.942->12.639->110.14
TT2->n/a->1.952->12.655->109.77
R1->12.64->1.933->12.670->109.64
R2->12.67->1.958->12.694->109.32
R3->12.70->1.971->12.728->109.37
Semi-final->12.72->1.970->12.737->102.30
Final->12.72->1.955->12.679->109.88
. Time trial 1 was obviously the best run of the day. Coolest temp; lowest DA, least wind.
. Skies were cloudy for both time trials. Sun came out steady for & after my first eliminator round, but temp didn't warm much during the day.
. As you can tell, I was chasing the DA & my dial-in all day.
. Round 3 was a bye run.
. Semi-final I laid on the brakes at the top-end because I couldn't see my opponent and I didn't want to break out.
. I lost the final at the stripe. Regardless, I broke out. My opponent was a better stripe racer than me. Another learning opportunity.
. Car behaved solid, predictable and consistent all day; just incredible. I need to do better on (or actually, just do) calculating DA impact so I'm not chasing it all day.
. Headwind was definitely affecting mph.
. 1st time out racing in almost 2 years. 1st out in this car. Not too shabby.

. I'll post up the videos.

I usually take a bunch of pics & vids at the track, but for some odd reason, my phone wasn't charging at the track. Weird.
