Figured this out.

Whenever I have my phone plugged in to my head unit, Android Auto takes over my phone. That was interferring with me running Track Addict and logging/videoing my runs.

So I turned off my head unit. Guess that turns off power to the charging port too. :S

No pictures but I installed the 9011/9012 HIR bulbs and the RadioFlyers HI-4 harness today.

I *may* get their DRL upgrade kit. That would be *it* for cosmetic upgrades; I swear!

Got my lab results back.

Engine...
Universal averages show typical wear levels for the 5.7L LS-1 after about 4,000 miles of oil use.
Copper (from brass/bronze parts) is a bit higher than average, but iron (from steel parts) stands out more.
Operational factors like heavy use or lots of idling can make extra iron, and iron from that sort of source isn't
an issue. Otherwise, steel parts are wearing a bit more than average. No contamination was found, and low
levels of silicon and insolubles point to proper air and oil filtration, respectively. This is a good report,
overall. Just check back on steel wear.
Trans...
We don't see anything in this sample that looks altogether concerning. Lead is a bit high, and while
maybe that could show bearing wear, it might also be from something temporary or harmless, so let's just
see how it trends, assuming you're not having any problems shifting. The rest of the metals look great,
particularly when you consider that the averages are based on just 35,000 miles. We'd believe this oil could
be factory oil. The viscosity was a little thin, showing it's been in place a while, but insolubles aren't too high,
so this was a perfect oil change interval.

Interested to see that DRL kit. What was your time in the finals?

Last run was ...
60' -- 1.955
1/8 -- 8.230 @ 87.46
1/4 -- 12.679 @ 109.88

I was dialed at 12.72. The other guy was racing me at the stripe so had me good. But I would've broken out anyway.

The problem with having such a shitty 60' is the other guy can catch you pretty easily and then just pace you the rest of the way.

Yep, was waiting until 100k for tranny flush/change so still factory fluid in there. Probably factory washer fluid too...

Sorry didn't see you posted them earlier.
Your video brings back memories. I had a black 99 6 speed back in the day. Made it to finals up against a 69 Z28 race car on slicks lifting the front wheels.

Not much to report. Missed the last two races. Another tomorrow but I probably won't go. Too busy enjoying my new pool.

I've got my ported LSX 92 manifold & LS2 throttle body from Tony Mamo. But they're just going to sit until I can budget for the install & re-tune.

A/C didn't seem to want to cool down the car after sitting in the sun. Guess I'll need to get that checked out. Makes sense. My house A/C just went out, too.

Did we forget to mention the car was also known as the 'Devil's Chariot'?

I always wondered why they had us sign the original sales contract in blood but figr'd it was just some peculiar policy of that dealership.

Interesting...

That (A/C) could be a problem in Texas, both house and car. Hopefully a relatively easy fix. We hadda replace total HVAC system in our house last fall as well; bitter pill but necessary.

Just uncovered pool and starting to clean it up.

I have cars I can't drive in winter, and a pool that is only usable 4 months a year...why I continue to live on Ohio becomes more puzzling with each day.

Pool was a mess when we pulled safety cover but getting there. Working for a pool company comes in quite handy at times, cheap chems.

Wife is really diggin' her new C7; using it to go everywhere. Rain, sun, warm, cold...true daily driver. Still, only 1200 miles as she only works about 3 miles away. A few trips to Columbus, once to Pittsburgh are the bulk of the miles.

Definately smaller inside but even at 6' 2" driving is comfortable for me but absolutely NO WAY I could ride as passenger on long trip. That side has very limited room for tall, lanky folks like me.

Looks like the A/C blows cold, just not getting thru the dash vents. I'll need to dig into that.

Unfortunately no. Trying to run down what I'll need to upgrade if I run flex fuel. Not sure how big an injector I'll need with a H/C & E85. And not sure if that's going to necessitate a fuel pump upgrade.

Fantasizing about a head & cam package.

I'd install the intake & throttle body, but I don't have funds for a re-tune, at the moment.

New mod update!!!! Finally got my Flameball!

Used the SickSpeed adapter.

Flameball ... MAKE SURE YOU GET THE MANUAL WITH OVERSIZE THREADS!

I love it with the light inside, but I don't see that I could run the wires with this adapter, so I didn't have it drilled for the light.

Always run a flameball in all my cars.

So this looks like something I may need to
address sooner rather than later...

Car was running 203* water temp (with a 160* t-stat).

Oil temp was 194* and trans temp was 194*

Need a Dewitts radiator?
