I was facing some challenges with my Jdm led for the drl the resistors was my issue ended up using stock drl some tips for f you installed yours would be great
I had a similar issue with my Radioflyer DRL upgrade kit. I went with the LED strip on the bottom to modernize the look so I had a good amount of coin wrapped up in this. Directions / wiring diagrams not included with the kit and the "I need some help" wiring emails vague. I believe the wiring was finally corrected but It never worked properly, including the random flashing you're describing.
I sold everything and started over with some clear housings and LED DRLs with a built in in-line resistor. All in for $100+/- and actually works. Wish I started there.
To answer your question, yes turn signals need to be yellow.

I had a shop do it. Didn't look that hard but I don't even own a jack and stands anymore.

So far had it happen just that one time. Fixed itself when I turned on the headlights. I can live with that, but if it starts "harshing my mellow", I'll do as you did. Are you using switchbacks?

Yes, I am using switchbacks. $35 or so from amazon with inline resistor. If you have a hyperflash harness you should just need the bulbs.
Although it wasn’t @ me! Here’s what I ordered. It will most likely turn out to be the best install though if you get the hyper flash harness for under the dash connection for this. Using normal block style resistors did and connection not work for my application. I believe the hyper flash will be needed saves ya a lot of work around.
These didn’t work. Get the hyper flash it will save you so much extra shiz....

Finally managed to snag a set of great set of Ti Z06 exhaust from a forum member for a fair price.
It'll be a couple of weeks before I get them on. Not sure if the direct performance benefit is nil, but I'll lose whatever weight difference between the systems and can lose the 45lb sound deadening mat too.
GHLs will be up for sale soon.

Oh and not only is the exhaust so much quieter, but 1 of the GHLs heavier than the entire Z06 exhaust!
Plus I get to remove ~50lbs of sound deadening too!
