If anyone wants to know the size comparison between a new lt style starter, stock c5 starter, and a power master 9509 starter.. The c5 starter wasn't going to fit well with the 2" headers, so I tried the powermaster out... That was going to be a pain so I bought an lt truck starter and it just falls right in place.
Motor catch can? In the back of the car? What is the reasoning behind that?
A lot of cool custom tidbits going on!
Gives the vacuum pump more room to push out what it pulls from the crankcase. Effectively expands the "catch can size" with the added line length. Plus, God forbid anything ever happens, but if that would happen to start blowing **** out, it'll be behind the car.
I like finding OEM solutions as an upgrade. I'd be curious to see your outcome getting it put on.
Any C5 owner with LT's would like more room to their starter lol
What outcome would you like to see? It has started to be a common replacement for larger primary headers. I can leave the headers installed and install/remove it.
I took note of this for the turbo install. Good information I had not had previously. I've already got the power master one with a blanket on it, but it doesn't clear I know which way to go.
So the glass company came a couple weeks ago to replace the windshield as it has been cracked for years. After 3 or so windshields that were either scratched or warped (or both)... They finally got a good one installed yesterday.
The paint looks absolutely sinister. Mine has half a decade of dust on it currently. I cannot wait until spring and the chance to bring it back to full glory.
Starter itself 12695760
Factory LT heat shield 12633476 (not sure if this will fit, but it is cheap)
@mykream I broke the plastic input terminal off my stock starter yesterday, so I figure if I have to pull my Kooks off to replace it, I may as well get the truck starter. Is this a plug and play deal, or do I need to change connectors or anything? Thanks! Your car is looking real nice, BTW!

This is how it comes, I pulled the adapter off though.
