BTW, hope GM can figure out what your problem is and get it fixed pronto.

Please Explain the Advantage of Push Button Start?
I don't really care one way or the other. Doesn't matter to me whether I carry a key or a fob....you have to carry something with you either way....right?
Seriously, I'd appreciate it if someone can explain the added value of the push button start.....?

You just have to tap the starter button and it takes over. Kinda neat that you don't have to hold it down.

If dense drivers constantly attempt to engage the starter with the engine running, it will booger the flywheel ring gear and the starter pinion gear. Usually the damage won't keep the starter from functioning, but cranking will begin to sound junky.
With the push button start, pushing the button latches a relay until the starting sequence is completed. I suspect that pushing the button again won't do anything if the engine is already running. It only makes sense that they designed the control system to lock out any start activity with the engine running, but I don't intend to try it...anyone tried this yet?

Have had 1 message one time when I turned off the engine. Got the no fob message. Took the fob out of my pocket and everything was okay.
Wouldn't trade the keyless unlock & keyless start for anything. I frequently get into or out of my C6 with both hands full. Don't have to bother looking for the car key.
