IT - Worked for a private company for 21 years making fishing tackle until it was sold to a competitor, was let go once they moved the plant to Northern Russia. Went back to school and finished out my CS degree. Now make half the previous job.
Kept man - During those 21 years put the wife through college getting BA’s in Accounting & Finance and an MBA in Finance, oh don’t forget the dreaded CPA. She makes 4x what I make now (reversal of the past 21 years) and exercised a small amount of stock options to pay cash for the car. She’s talking about a Z06 for me in 07 or 08.
New house, new vet, no debt, great family, it’s the American dream.
In all honesty, I'm a male stripper for the ladies up here in montreal. I don't do that job for the car ( i've been doing ot for many years ) but the job pays enough for me to get it
to afford a C6 or a C6 Z06??? Just curious? I'm spending my children's college fund to make my dreams come true.... I work at a manufacturing facility producing planes... Cessna to be exact... I've got a new "smaller" house along with the wife's Grand Cherokee plus an old 72 chevelle with a big block project car (it's 4 sale).... I just would like to get an idea of what it takes to own more than one C6.... I see people from this board that have some really exotic cars and wonder where I went wrong.... I'm willing to take donations so that you can help me support my habit of being a Vette operator...LOL.....
If your in the market for a new model 10 citation or Sovereign I can hook you up with an employee discount for minimal cost...LOL
we recently purchased a 172 from you if you r in kansas! i have a 03 and 06 vette. we sold the 172 and got a 182. we are now looking for another 172. what kinda discount can u get ? or r u just kidding?

I used to work at the University of Pittsburgh in the research department as the web guy. I'd make websites for the research studies to use to both pool info with remote researchers and to promote their findings to the public. Very boring.
I also did freelance design on the side for extra cash.
Me and a buddy got the idea to make a website for the Xbox when we first heard about it a year or so before it's launch. I whipped up a site and we just goofed around with it and had fun. After a while it got bigger and more and more people were checking it out.
He eventually stepped back because it was taking more money, time and effort to keep going as it grew bigger. He had a family and such and decided that he didn't have the means or resources to keep investing in the site. I knew it was something I wanted to make happen so I kept at it. A few years later, as the site got bigger and bigger, we ended up getting bought out by a larger entertainment network.
Now I work for the site like always, but as a full time employee of the company that bought it. There are 5 other full time staffers, most were people who volunteered as we built the site over the years so it's nice things could work out for us all.
I bet the guy who originally started it with my is kicking himself now...

Well my wife & kids think that we have this tree in our back yard............ Actually I play with numbers, its amazing what you can do with a very big eraser!
Lawyer in private practice. We live in a small house, our other car is a Honda, and we're saving for the kids' college and our retirement. The C6 is my first new Vette. My first was a '73 I bought in the mid-80's after selling two project cars and a daily driver to raise the money. Drove it daily for six months, then bought another car and only drove it weekends and nice days. Lost it in divorce in 1995. My second was a '97 I bought in 2000 for my daily driver and sold when I picked up the C6 on New Years Eve 2005. A dealer offered me GMS on a new C6 after I decided to pass on a preowned '05 of theirs I had been considering. My wife had to talk me into going for it. Best decision she ever made.
