I still prefer my Tech II to the VX GM nano, but if you just need a tech II type tool on the cheap to wrench on the car, then the GM nano may have you covered instead.

P.S, I'm in the Denver area, and could stop over to get you squared away with a Tech II, so you don't have to wait for slow mail to get the needed tool isntead.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. This is what the Corvette Forum is all about.

I've said this before (and gotten blasted for it) but I'll say it again anyway - you can bleed your brakes just fine without using a Tech 2 or any other scanner by bleeding them normally, making a few panic stops to activate the ABS and then bleed them again.

After doing my own several times I ended up having the dealership do it once to see if they felt any better - nope, they felt exactly the same.

And if you were curious as to how well they continued to work afterwards without using a scanner, I have no trouble slowing down on a regular basis from 130MPH at the dragstrip.

With a tech II, your completed with brake bleeding in a few mins all by yourself, including cycling the ABS pump to get the air out of it as well.

Hence brakes, special options, brake bleeding.
