I've talked with the previous owner.
PRC CNC LS7 heads, valves and springs, our LS7 street cam, FAST 102, NW 102, Kooks w/cats, M2W switch, custom engine bay covers, rear divider/tray, Vararam SC2, Billet rails, ARP bolts used for all. LPE 8 Bolt ZR1 flywheel, new ZR1 twin disk clutch, and slave.

My discussion with Texas Speed seemed to indicate that their reworked GM Sourced LS7 heads used OE guides while their PRC Heads that were aftermarket castings used the bronze guides.
Here is the conversation I had...
Me - Am I correct in assuming 'New GM LS7 Core' is a New factory GM LS7 Head that is milled/ported/polished to PRC specification?
Texas Speed - Yes, we buy a new bare pair of heads from and do the work to them. The PRC casting has the different guides and the deck is thicker on them if you ever plan on running boost or nitrous.
Me - ...You mention different guides in the PRC casting. Do the GM sourced and reworked heads use the GM OE guides or are they replaced with Bronze Guides at your facility?
Texas Speed - The GM heads would stay with the OE guides unless you requested we put the different guides in there. The aftermarket bronze guides would be a $150 upgrade in the OE castings.

This is the beauty of talking to the original owner and knowing EXACTLY what was done to it. The fact that this was his shops showpiece as well as his personal vehicle doesnt hurt either. Very happy with this purchase. She should be on the truck to me early next week with new wheels and rubber!!! Hey, I had to make her mine, a little bit...

Thank you. Glad I went OEM ZR-1. This is the worst part of the process...the wait. UGH. I would not hesitate to recommend Tom and his crew to anyone. He went above and beyond to do what he could for me. He put up with all my pic and video requests, questions, etc and he didnt have to. Car was already out of his hands for sale. Definitely a stand up guy!!!

I know the previous owner, he sold it for a killer deal on a zr1. He redid everything on the motor. Car did not make 550, it make 577 to the wheels and he is the owner of a speed shop. I know the cam spec and the mph it did in the quarter mile. I won't say for right now if this guy buys it. No navi on it but a one owner super clean car. I can also tell you what the dealer paid for it if you pm me. Wont say over the board. Car is worth 48 all day long.

The blue one has only been there for less than three weeks. Original owner traded for a white zr1. I bought my yellow vette form the same place and speed inc did all my work. GREAT PLACE.

I DID buy the car, LOL. Yes, Tom Izzo, owner of Speed Inc is a GREAT guy. Car was at Chicago Motor Cars for about a week before we started going back and forth on it. The only plans I have for it is to add an Akro slip on and maybe some ZR1 sides, splitter and spoiler. I agree $48 was a great deal.
