Speaking of numbers...so what 0-60 and 1/4 mile numbers could/should we expect with just a e-force 1591 (550 RWHP) mounted on stock 2008 C6 A6??
Not to be rude, but if you look at the eforce add, it is 550 flywheel hp not rwhp. We are thinking of the eforce model with the 599 hp unit and request LG to do the install with LG headers and a few goodies. Will keep ya posted as we are probably going to do this real soon.
There's going to be a big rush to be "the first" with this install......funny.
While I won't be the first, I'll definitely be picking one up. This is the SC I've been waiting for, and knowing months ago that it was coming, was a slight factor in buying an LS3.
However the answer to your question is all about getting the 550 to hook.
Good point and given my driving style I am probably asking the wrong question. I should have asked what improvements I get on 60 to 120. Maybe the tire "hook" factor is not as important.
BTW I recall waching a video with Vic Hedelbrock claiming approx. 550RWHP for 599hp unit and apporx 500RWHP for the the other unit.
So - since I am not going to try this at home and looking a various tests done with C6 C6Z and ZR-1 I guess with 550RWHP i could expect 3.9 0-60 and 11.9 for 1/4 ? (stock c6 tires..).
Obviously just speculating on my part and to a certain extent not really exciting since I read posts with 1000RWHP and sub 2 secs times..:-)
LS7 kit is under development, basically its the same as the LS3 kit that is about to be released, but with a different intake assembly to mate to the LS7 heads. All other parts are interchangable. The only other part(s) I would be concerned about would be a 8 or 10 rib conversion for those wanting more boost and more power. That should be easily remedied by the aftermarket.

I seen the same video talking about the 550 rwhp.
I'm not sure what the improvement would be over what you have right now, but I would think you could tell right away that you added some more ponies and you would make that 100 mile trip a bit faster.
btw check out their competition set-up it may be what the high hp boys are looking for.
Yes they are but they are not planning on giving us a 8 or 10 rib kit. ATI, LPE can supply them or most likely others like ECS, or Innovators West Pulley boys.

Since I live in Stuttgart = Porsche-land=Mercedes & beemer land I'd like to add an American perspective to Autobahn riding. So I would hope the added HP will bring additional insurance in case one of these 911/SLs/M5s want to push me aside...
I like what I see in this setup and both Edelbrock and Summit are names that you can trust.
That being said the one common power limiting factor that applies to all cars is the working distance available between the top of the motor and the bottom of the hood.
If one companies top mounted SC unit fits under the same hood that another top mounted SC unit does not you can bet your bottom dollar that the one that needs a new hood will produce more power.
However I still like this unit and a new GS with one of these may be just the ticket in times when we are all counting our change of how to break into the performance numbers normally associated with a bigger ticket price.
QUOTE=filmjay;1572725386]Oh, I'm SO dying to know what the price is going to be. I just know Edelbrock's gonna ruin it and charge something like $8000-$10000.
Spoke to Edelbrock Corp. office yesterday and they said it will likely be available for shipping first week of March as opposed to Jan 27 advertised date. 1591 model will be $6800.00

Thank you for the update. It does set me back a bit though. I am going through the order process right now and SUMMIT has not mentioned this delay yet.

even if it is delayed a few more weeks i think it will be worth it. i have a feeling that this supercharger system will be the one to have. i can't wait to hear the updates.

Any explanation offered by Edelbrock as to why the delay?
