Torn on seats but may just end up with some Kirkeys. Finally sat in some the other day and they weren't bad actually. What size are yours?

I'm going to cut out some lexan door windows and keep the stock window rails in the car. Just incase I ever get caught out in the rain. Which seems to happen to me a lot, lol.
Look at the Spaco QRT lineup. Mine are 14lbs and still look like a normal racing seat. Not quite as light as a kirkey but close enough for me.

Once I finally sell the drivetrain parts I removed from the car, I'll have about $500 in the roller. Not a bad start, IMO. Better than buying a $30k car and then going full race car with it.

Thanks! My seats are 17" 55 series with Marrad mounts, I don't think they are bad at all, granted I've only driven about 2 hours max in them but I need a break by that point anyways in cars like this.

My friend got a bunch of stuff from HGK which looks sick but like you said pricey shipped.

I went to a lexan windshield from 5 star bodies that dropped a good bit of weight, side windows would be nice! Besides rain, without side windows I think you would need arm restraints at the track.

I've seen those. I'm a bigger guy - 6'3" 255lbs. Not a lot of seats out there that I fit in. I think there's a shop in town that stocks a few different seats. Gonna try to swing by and sit in a few to get an idea of fitment.

Ok, cool. 17" is what I was thinking of going with. Price isnt bad for both with the pads. Could also do the Jegs versions with the Kirkey seat pads.

Yeah, HGK has some nice parts. Wish I was rich. I'd order everything they offer.

I plan to do the lexan front window. Did you install a brace with it?

Following along, can't wait to see what you come up with.

Are you keeping the BCM?

If the BCM gets deleted what will you do about the ABS?

Ya the Jegs seats are almost exactly the same, probably rebranded Kirkeys.

I originally ordered a windshield from opticarmor but they came back that it wouldnt ship for 12 weeks so I cancelled that and stumbled upon the one from 5 star bodies. They were great, it was much cheaper, and shipped same day! I installed mine with countersunk 1/4-20 allen bolts which seems a lot more secure than the 9/64 stuff they give you, I did not install a brace and it seems super solid.

Lots of wiring this weekend. Got both headlight harness ran and built the relay “panel” inside the arm rest.

Also stripped down the taillight harness. Need to clean it up and wire it up.

Looking forward to the results of this build. Your last car rolled out no doubt, that 100-150 dragy video is legit. Jon at DB Rods building this 5.3 for you?

Thank you! Yes, Jon is building this motor as well. I won't have anyone else build one for me as long as he is still pumping them out.

Yes 1/4" with black out border.

Nice, thats a lot of relays! I got rid of all the stock wiring to the lights and used trailer wire since its a single wire with multiple conductors that were already labeled with ground, brake, turn, running lights, etc.. To keep it simple my headlights and running lights are all together on one switch. I ditched the fogs to make room for a trans cooler.

Yeah, i bought a pack of 10. Dont think i'll need them all but if i do, they are there and wired up. Using one of the leash relay modules to power the headlights.

I don’t know how I missed this thread. This car will be a monster for sure and your build threads are always super informative. I learned a lot about getting my dry nitrous setup from your OG build thread, and currently starting a single turbo Lc9 build like your first turbo setup. Looking forward to how this turns out!

Engine is getting worked on! Torn down, hot tanked, and drilled for 1/2” studs already. Rotating assembly has been balanced. Heads should ship this Thursday.

If you are looking for more weight the trunk latch weighs in at 7.5lbs. I realized I forgot my key when I pulled up at the gas station recently, inspired me to rip that thing out and install quick latches on the deck lid.
