my honker gave me an additional tuned 20rwhp when i added my LG headers, over what most people were getting without a CAI on thier header install. i dont know if the honker is any better or worse than the other CAI kits out there, but i am extremely happy with mine, and the quality and fit and finish couldnt possibly be better.
Hey, if it actually provides substantial gains over other so called better looking cold air kits then that's ok.
This is the tech/performance section right, I think the waxer's, err I mean appearance/detailing section is down there somewhere?
So let me get this right. If you want Tech/Performance but you want the mod to look good/professional it's more detailing than performance????? So if I go for, let's say Pro Charger S/C over the Vortec S/C because I think it looks cleaner I should post the results in the detail section. Very interesting, but WRONG!!

i dont care where you post them just post them. i think i am the only won that has. everyone says how good theirs is but no times.you can make them as pretty as you want, but if they dont make 1/4 mile gains they are no good

Well, no, but if one buys/installs a performance enhancing part/parts based strictly on it's appearance only and NOT on it's performance enhancing merits/results then one is, plain and simple, what is known as a waxer (not that there is anything wrong with that )...and yes waxers have their own section.

I tested the Vararam the same day I installed it, I dropped 2 tenths and gained 2mph, this was after I put about 40 miles on the unit, Vararam says it should get better after 200 miles. In similar weather I ran times from 12.75-12.80 at 110-111mph and after the install I ran two identical 12.515 at 113.4. I am one of the people not happy with fit and finish of the unit and its good to see that Vararam is working on it. It may not look the best but it definitely works and thats what matters most to me. I have contacted Vararam and I have asked them to send me the updated upper box, I will give an update once I receive it.

Hello Dennis, I have 200 miles on it now(1800 on car), if the weather is good on Sat I will run it at the Corvette Challenge at E-town. I do have the spacer.

I believe the discussion at hand was on build quality and fit and finish, NOT the appearance. I got my Lingenfelter yesterday and the plasttic is very thick and sturdy, it is well put together, and all of the pieces are high quality, that does NOT make it an appearance mod in any way.
Why flame someone because they don't want to mod their car? I don't get it and I am doing quite a few mods to my car.
BTW...My LG Headers are well put together and very beautiful...kinda like a work of art. They must be an appearance mod right

Joe.
I would like to know more about your testing and also the weather conditions. Would you mind explaining how you did it. I'm really interested in how you timed your runs and also how you determined the weather cond.
