I dont fully understand what needs to happen so that the stock fuel rails and injectors can be used. Anyone?

Nice work Spin! The manifold Jeffvette mentioned was removed from a 05 C6 with Edelbrock heads ported by West Coast Cylinder Heads who by the waydoes excelllent work. It has a small cam from AA Corvette in the 220 numbers, LG headers and stock rear mufflers. The before and after dyno reading as about 20hp difference between the two tests. I give up 5 or 6hp to changes between the ambient conditions of the two different test dates, the earlier being during a much cooler time of year, no other tuning changes was made other than replacing the FAST for a ported LS2 intake. The FAST manifold was ported by Jeremy Formatto. I was pleasantly surprised to see such a dramatic difference in power between the two intakes. Maybe now I can sell the other two FAST intakes I have in stock Plus the take out unit that the customer left with me to sell.

By the way what did you use as a filler plate where you removed part of the FAST intake? And the glue you used is GOOP?

Good numbers. I was wondering about the filler plate material as well.
Are the FAST intakes you have already ported?

Yes, he used Goop and the filler plate is plastic same material as the intake. The clearance from the firewall where the plate not sits is 1/4 inch, maybe slightly more. And mine was bought on E-bay for $735 delivered, I dropped it off to spin, and he mildly ported the Fast 90.

Mine are brand new in the box, and I have one used one that belongs to the customer that I removed from a 2005 C6. I am sure he is going to be selling it, that one is ported by Jeremy Formatto.

Cameron,
First off it sounds like you've got one hell of a friend in Spinmonster.
Spinmonster you have just convinced me on getting the Fast. Have been talking with my tuner on this and had decided to have the stock unit ported. no more me thinks! You have done a lot of us "less in the know" fellas a great service in your pics and of course with your detailed instruction and guidance. What I wouldn't give for a ride in this bad boy ! Lastly, Do not know you but am sorry for your loss. Keep up the fight!

Thank you for comments, Spin is a great friend and has help many others in this fashion truely a unique and selfless individual, with vast array of knowledge and wouldn't hesitate to share it and educate others, so that we can have more fun with our LS2's.

He pushed me in the direction of the Fast 90 mod for a few months and I finally pulled the trigger. Having confidence in his knowledge, I did not hesitate in having him mod the Fast 90, as I knew I would get exactly what he promised and that was "the perfect fit, great looks and above all, an Azz kickin performance that induces a grin from a ear to ear mashing the peddle."

Some detailed questions, hope you don't mind but I plan to do this and appreciate the help:

1. Would you happen to have a pic of the FAST with the cut before you glued it? I;m trying to judge how much to cut off.

2. Where did you get the plastic patch piece & what is it?

3 Which Goop product did you use?

4. When you say mildly port - could you be more specific where? Did you open it up, put the lower part on the car, mark runners where they meet the head and clean up any areas that don't seem to match up perfectly, or did you just open it up and clean up some casting flash?

5. Can you reseal the FAST with the existing manifold or do you need so use some sealer (what type) on it?

And will you hold my hand while I do it? Just kidding, but figured I'd ask these detailed questions so I can get the supplies that are proven to work. Thanks much guys!! Great post, this is what the Forum is all about.

Excellent job!!!! We have done a similar mod for a few C6 owners who did not want to modify their firewall. It definately makes the install ALOT more enjoyable for the "do it yourselfer"

Here is an example of our painted intakes that we offer

The sanding/smoothing really helps the appearance of the intake.

FWIW, We sell the FAST 90mm PORTED for 899 SHIPPED

Again, EXCELLENT job!!!

I would wait for Spinman to get back from his vacation to chime in on the details, I am sure he will help you out with the details..

Very nice job Spin.

I have considered porting the stock intake but this post has changed my mind. When I install a new intake it will be a FAST with the Spin mod.

His post stated ported for $899 only, he did not specify the rest (sanded, painted, modified rear) , hence my question on post #54.
