Holy ****....you're running 3/10 th's faster than you did at the Corvette Challenge at Speedworld in December 09 !!!!

Have you made anymore passes at Speedworld since then, and have you performed additional mod's ?

I'm going to have to break down and get a tune for my Z if I'm ever going to stay close to you and Tom (HOXXOH)

Nice run

Subfloor put a larger cam in for me and did some tuning. Its called the Demonator from Carlos at Vette-Air.
So far I am very happy, still trying to hit the 10.xx's.

I also installed a cage so I am good to 10.00! Now I dont have to get yelled at the track.

Let me know when you are going to Speedworld or Firebird. I want to go with you guys again.

One thing worth mentioning is that there was absolutely no VHT whatsoever on the track last night, which limited the launches to no more than 1800RPM.

I was impressed how Mike's car launched at Speedworld back in December 09....1.56's....damn I was all giddy when I pulled a 1.70 with my Z on DR's with a 3K launch...any higher and the clutch overheats or the tires break loose.

Impressive ET's and traps Mike is running.

Mike, If you don't mind...who did the cage, and how much ? Local or Cali ? PM me if you prefer.

I know there's the 2010 Winterfest event coming March 26,27 at Firebird...with the drags running that Friday. Tom's been going to Speedworld again, and I'm thinking of sneeking back out there to run in some cooler air to see if I can better my 11.34 in my stocker.

I'll get a hold of you when there is a plan to roll back out there....I want to see your car launch

Hello Mike,

Congrats on your great outing, this is really good considering track condition with a new set up/cam.

The Demonator cam is a great cam which as you can now tell, it offers plenty of punch…just wait until whenever you decide to add other supporting cast units such as ported heads, and intake and so on…you’ll be running some crazy ET’s!!!

Thank you again for allowing us to help you on your quest for greater ET’s and perhaps a world record when all the dust settles.

Thanks,
Carlos

Ran the fastest time to date at Infineon last Sunday. 11.488 @ 124.94. Clear cool day with no wind.

C6 - Cold air intake - Ported throttle body and intake manifold - Z06 exhaust; cats and x-pipe - Drag radials - Tune.

I was a bit surprised myself at the mph as my previous high was 123 mph. No skinnies just BFG GForce tires inflated @ 28 lbs.

The base tune was done by Ditto Motors and was fine tuned at the track by Christopher Martin.

He sure does. He's kept me above the 11.5 mark for a year and now it's time to move on (down). I'm going to pass on the stall as I love to track and autocross the car. A mild cam; heads and a -10 underdrive pulley should get me into the 10's and not effect my everyday driveability.

ok, I have been meaning to do this since last year, but the car has been fighting me up until very recently.

RPM has got all the terrible things wrong with the car caused form a shawdy shop doing work on the car.

this timeslip is from the OLD setup, I.E old tune, stock converter, stock 2.56 gears, and a 6l80.

car is a 2007 vert, 440ci LS2 based motor, TEA 235cc heads, 660lift 252-260 at 50.

the car was a PIG for the first 200-300 feet, would not even break out of the 1.7 sixtys, ever.

the car did make good power, it was making about 560 at the wheels, on a dynojet, when it made this run.

Name: IMG_4158.jpg
Views: 79
Size: 57.4 KB

the car makes about another 30 or so HP at the tire now, and thanks to SUBFLOOR, ROAD REBAL, and RPM, the car has unbelievable drivability, and is a MONSTER compared to what it was when this pass was made.

car now has 3.42, a 3600 converter, and a unbelieavble tuneup. Chris, I am coming FOYOASS....

J.K.. I do want to be in the top 5 fastest 6l80 cars in the country though..

o, and this pass was made with knockoff z06 18 inch wheels, all the way around, and 305 M/ts out back.

I have a ccw drag pack now..
