great times howard are those tires as good as drag radials

For a 400 horsepower car they sure are if you heat them.

Bump that up to 500 horse (400rwhp) and maybe they wouldn't seem quite so great.

But I was pretty happy with them.

I honestly don't think the catbacks add much if any power at all to these cars, I was just hoping they did not slow me down or rob me of power.

SOTP feel, the Magnaflows do seem like the car breathes a little better in the midrange, but I think it is psychological due to the increased sound.

With the B&B Bullets it felt amazing with the LOUD ROAR, but attracted alot of attention from unwanted traffic. I also felt the Bullets added a small amount of power, not enough to make much difference at the track though.

I would say if the catback was worth 0.05 and 0.5moh I would be ECSTATIC.

So my 12.57@110.67 might be a 12.62@110.17 with a stock catback at the worst.

Just my opinion based on fact.

But, now that the car ran a sweet time, the Magnaflows are staying

Though the B&B Bullets as you said might have offered even more of that 'slight' gain over the Magnaflow and they also of course save some weight (you lose those BIG can mufflers) over the stock and even most other aftermarket systems.

 

new best et 12.070 114.64 mph had to run car with t/c on and could not get tires to hook. tried some drag tires wrong size to small still could dot get them to hook but ran a 12.066 at 113.56 mph.. still had to run with t/c on.

Good friend ran with his 06 a6 non z51 lpe 403 with headers and high flow cats ran 11.8 and 123.25 with stock tires and t/c on if not times where in 12,s and cood not get tires to hook. had a great day.

Did he still have stock gears/stock torque converter?

 

Dont know if this matters tommy, but With magnaflow mufflers (not catback) and tune, I got a 12.26 @114. Nothing on that list for that ...its still slower than my stock time, but when it got cold, i couldnt get traction to save my life. Ran several 12.30xxx times but just couldnt get in the 11's with the runflats.... Car dyno'd at 370 RWHP and 365 RWTQ same day!

Do you feel that the Magnaflow mufflers enhanced the performance a little? Did you use the stock tips? I'm thinking about the same exact setup, with the adddition of the Callaway Honker. 370rwhp is where I want to be without all the other expenses. Excellent numbers.

The magnaflow mufflers got 8 RWHP and 8 RWTQ on the dyno. The 370 RWHP number is through the stock filters

Hey Dave, I wish I could make it but my car won't be ready. Right now I'm getting the roll bar installed, the car will also get a Nitrous tweak and of course you know about the trans that has to get fixed since its kaput.....Definately should be out there for the 13th. I dropped from 1st place in the challenge to 4th place since I could only get one pass at the last event. I'm trying to be the first C6 that wins a Challenge. So if ya got a C6, bring it to Raceway Park May 13th at 11:00AM
