You need to find a better class of "ls only" shops. The advice you're getting about throttle response is bogus. Yes, more power is always fun but it doesn't always equal quicker acceleration. Pay attention to users, not guys trying to sell you something.
In late September I had an HP Tune (engine & transmission) professionally done on my stock 2008 Corvette, auto trans, then drove it on a 3,200 mile trip across plains and mountains, elevations from 2,200' to 7,000'. The tune really woke the engine up (I'd done exactly the same trip in June.) There was better acceleration from a stop and stronger pull once RPM hit 3,500. And there was negligible impact of fuel mileage. I was very happy with the money spent on it.
I had a Vitesse controller sitting on the shelf. I'd bought it before the tune and never got around to installing it. With the tune done, I intended to send it back. I spoke to the Vitesse folks about that and they said I could install it and if I didn't like it, I could still send it back even though the return period was over.
In short, and to reiterate other comments: Wow! The Vitesse unit is a useful addition on top of to the HP Tune. Using the Economy/1 or 2 setting on the Vitesse, with the car in Drive and the acceleration is lethargic. An oxcart comes to mind. Change the Vitesse to 5 or 6 and acceleration is useful for urban traffic. Punch up the 9 setting and acceleration becomes, ahhh, "sporty," at best.
But, move the transmission to Sport mode and put the Vitesse in 5 or 6 in its Sport mode, and the acceleration becomes explosive, with a couple seconds of wheelspin on the 2nd to 3rd gear shift before the nannies kick in and let the tires hook up. Get hard into the throttle in 4th, so that it downshifts to 3rd, and there's more wheelspin.
I just keep my Vitesse on the 5 setting in both modes, using the Economy setting in heavy, urban traffic and punching the Sport button once things thin out. It's a nice piece of gear. In terms of driving fun, I think it's the best $180 bucks you can spend for a kick in the butt.

lets clear this up. my shop already built my vette and it was done. They were not trying to sell me anything. they were trying to keep me from wasting money.
It's amazing all those that have dogged the Vitesse T.C. 99% have never even tried it? Interesting don't you think?
The same thing can be said about any Mod that is not stock, right?
In fact Dealerships are full of brand new cars with factory parts malfunctioning sometimes more than just once. Then you have those that have the same car for 10 years with out ever having one problem.
Then you have garages that install something and they don't know what the heck their doing and we dog the part, only to find out the problem was bad installation. It's not a perfect world. but when you have many car performance forums with thousands of very happy customers. must be something good! Don't focus on the 1% nay sayers, they usually have another motive in mind or it may not have been installed properly in the first place.
Yes I have a Vitesse TC on my vette for over a year, best mod for the money I have ever purchased!

I very badly want it to work but after seeing the trouble my friend had on his 2010 camaro I just cant.
A Camaro isn't a Corvette. Like I said before, the approval rating is far above and beyond the disapproval rating that it's not even thought about for most people. I'd give anything to have one but I can't get a clear answer on when the 05 version will become available. A year ago I was told "still testing" and "a few weeks" but apparently that never came to be.
I had mine for a month but could not install it due to be an old fat crippled guy. My stepson is my service writer at my dealership and he got one of the tech to install it for me Tuesday at the end of shift. Took him 15 minutes. I had a 70 mile drive back home and let me tell you....you can tell a difference, especially in sport mode on the A6. I was smiling when I got home. I think 5-6 will be my numbers. There have been many threads on this product in the 'general' section. Very interesting was the thread where a guy loaned one out and it was passed from person to person and tried. Most people are very happy with the product. Vitesse offers a 100% money back guarantee and used one sell fast for close to new price, so you cannot go wrong. One of the best mods for the money. Buy one....you won't be sorry.
Waiting anxiously for my unit. Ordered October 28th. will report results.
I've had mine for about 6 months now. 13 GS, 6speed. Diablo tuner. Corsa and K&N. That's it. We had a club run with 6 cars that hit the dyno. Oldest car was an 04. Newest was a 15 coupe. I had the most RWHP at 390. Does the throttle control do anything for h/p? I set mine on the highest number the first drive and have never changed it. The car drives like it should. It's quick. I love the controller. Never want to be without one again.
It can be programmed out on a dyno and It will toss codes and put the car into limp mode like it did on my friends camaro. Its junk.
Oh bullshit. My 13 threw no codes on the dyno other than the one the tech said it would and that cleared up in a couple of miles. Save your money brother. You don't need this mod.
You have a one year warranty, if anything happens within that one year, after a few testing that we can do over the phone: verifying the voltages ( Low and High voltages ), we can determine if it just needs a re-calibration or if it's a defective, then we replace it with a brand new one.
Many times we've found that the main unit was placed under the carpet and next to the firewall / transmission wall, that is a big No No , the electronics inside will not last if exposed to too much heat.

Ahmed. I think you should sell this line to Edelbrock for 5 million dollars then hit the beach! Terrific product. Too much work for you!
Tell your friend to go onto his camaro forum this forum is for Corvettes.
All he has to do is go on their Vitesse website and call the owner, he always returns calls

I had a 2014 gen5 camaro with 670HP and a vitesse before my Z. problem free, if anyone has had tuning issues with it, get a new tuner. the product is solid and does what it says.

You are quoting the wrong guy.
I told him to do try the controller (like I have done successfully HERE) instead of posting up 2nd hand hearsay from his Camaro bud.

And like with 95% of those with issues, it was probably a setup error by the installer. I, like almost everyone else, have had ZERO issues and love the Vitesse. Don't knock it until you try it yourself and properly install it.
I haven't touched mine since it was installed, other than occasionally messing around with the settings to see if my preferences have changed. It pretty much eliminates the drive-by-wire throttle lag programmed in by GM. I use SP5/6 and it feels pretty much linear like a cable-driven throttle.
The responses are overwhelmingly positive (like 95%/5% - probably higher than this based on what I've observed). Why do you insist on continually deriding the product, especially when you haven't even owned/installed one yourself? Did your Camaro friend even contact Vitesse to try to get his issue resolved? I've seen zero instances where the issue was not either satisfactorily resolved or they got their money back.

Glad i found this!
Just installed my controller tonight and had it mounted next to the transmisson for the inital 5-10min test run. After reading this, it is now relocated next to the floorboard foot rest.
Awesome product! Need some more seat time to play with the settings, 5 feels real good for driving. couldnt resist to play a bit on 9.
Thakns for the Fast shipping! it arrived just a couple days after I placed the order.
can anyone confirn or deny that the idle rpm changes with each value 1-9. i thought i heard somewhere that for every number above 0 that the idle speed also rises accordingly. any truth to this?
