There cheap enough and resale is there so easie to just buy one then getting under there 4 times to install and uninstall lol
As dumb as I think this is due to the fact that you can push the right pedal down a little harder I decided earlier this week to buy one. It came today. I've only tried it on 6 and 9. Well 9 is kind of annoying as taking off easy is difficult. 6 does make the car feel spunkier but I tend to push the pedal down hard normally so once I got around to 1/2 pedal the car obviously felt the same. I'll get to drive it tomorrow so I'll know more then but just due to the fact that I normally give it probably more throttle than most I personally don't think it will be worth the 180 to me. It's paid for so no biggie. I can always impress others that drive the car and think it's got more ***** than it does.
On that note I had the wife drive the car once she got home. She didn't like it. She totally short shifted out of 1st when it was on 9.
I ordered mine a few days ago...can't wait to install it!
It sounds like many of you have put the unit in the ash tray area. Did you have to pull the cover off to get the wire through the tray area? Did you mount it to the top/underside because the door tilts as it opens. Sorry if this has already been discussed in the 300 posts earlier.

I pulled the actual ashtray out and put mine in the slot that holds the ashtray. I drilled a hole in plastic behind the ashtray slot that is actually that back of the console for the cable to go through. Some were able to fish cable through the console and up under the dash but I had to pop the console loose and run it out the left side of the console and hide it behind the carpet and up under the dash and used double sided tape to mount the other box under there. Sorry I don't have pictures.

Thanks! I just found out that mine won't even ship until tomorrow. They must just do one shippment per week or something.
My question is, how does it stay in the ashtray in that position when you open and close the ashtray door? Is it adhered to the top side of the opening or does it shift back as you close the ashtray door?
It will probably make more sense once I get the unit, but just trying to pre-plan.

I think that I remember seeing that they only ship on Thursdays yes. To be truthful I have not adhered mine in there. My plan was to but I have not yet. You will probably get their new model that has a **** on the front to adjust the settings. The cable comes out of the side so it fits in there tight enough that its not going to move around much. I see what your saying about how the door moves when it opens and closes. I think you could use velcro or double sided tape to attach it in there if you have enough slack in the cable for the door movement. I really like it being in there. its a clean install. Nobody knows its there. If you ever have to leave it at a shop for something you can turn it back even to an economic number, close the door and they won't know its there if they have to drive it.
I just received mine today. Will install either tonight or tomorrow. Can't wait! I read the instructions and it says something about not using the blue and yellow wires "now". What are those for??
