Chuck has my stock tune though and he does everything remotely so he could easily unlock it and put it back to stock, I'm really hoping he makes things right, my car is parked for the season anyways so at least I have some time to figure out what to do

Throw me into the pile of people that have been scammed by Chuck. I sent my Autocal back to him in May for wide band O2 work. He charged me and hasn't been heard from sijustice from Karms nce. 60 days has expired so my bank wont' refund me anything. At this point I can only hope for justice from Karma.
I now have to take my car to another person and start over with new ECM because mine's locked.

I hope the next person who is thinking about using Chuck reads this thread and runs away.

Karma will catch up with you Chuck.

So, nobody has heard from Chuck in quite awhile, and he obviously don't post here anymore.

My guess is that he is in jail .... no internet access in the slammer

I hope so too. I have not been on here that much in the last few years and I have no idea who the owners of the forum are now, but years ago, there was no way a thread like this would last this long, which is why there continue to be new victims. Hopefully, things have changed and more people can be informed.

Karma did catch up with him.....his POS fourteen year old jet ski took on a little water and it ruined his WHOLE summer.....I can't believe he is whining like a little bitch on Youtube.
What kind of asshat posts videos like that? Jesus man, have some dignity.

This is typical when a shop or tuner is barely treading water. Seen it many times. Usually it is legal problems, substance abuse issues, jail time, robbing Peter to pay Paul, etc. They get behind financially and in life and it becomes a vicious circle of doom.

With customer service response like this, I wouldn't let COW tune a dime store guitar let alone my car.

If your computer is locked, You are stuck with purchasing a newer computer.

I would have thought by now, someone from internet brands would have stepped in and said we have contacted COW and he is dead, not responding to our calls, is fine but is in the hospital with a broken legs. But I guess if he's still paying his $320 bucks a month for advertising, IB will let it die on the vine. Its like FSP from Florida Speed and Power Matt Sorian all over again.

Can you recommend a place online to buy a new one? Does it come with the stock ls9 tune if I tell them it's a 2011 zr1? Or do people run an upgraded computer from a different company?

Sorry for all the questions, I have no experience with this type of stuff

You'd think Internet Brands would be paying a little more attention to these types of situations just for self preservation.....if they are allowing an "Authorized Corvette Forum Vendor" to keep advertising even though multiple forum members are complaining about being ripped off, Internet Brands may face some repercussions since they provide services across state lines, potential assistance to mail fraud and possible a visit from the FCC. It would be assumed since Internet Brands own a Corvette forum they would be considered "experts" in the field of Corvettes and Corvette parts and services and what forum members should expect in the way of parts, services and timeliness of service. They have a responsibility to vet their vendors in due diligence and if they do find reoccurring vendor issues, they have to take action to help protect "THEIR" members. If not, they may be named in a civil suit for loss damages for knowingly allowing said vendor to keep ripping off members while Internet Brands continues to profit from advertising revenue.

But hey, what do I know?....$320.00 per month can cloud a lot of common sense.

Id order it from GM dealership. You'll need to have someone with a tech II to load your VIN into the computer so you VIN match.

.
I disagree with some of this statement. Yes I agree they should be taking action against a vendor thats racking up complaints. They usually do here.

Hold them civilly liable because of someone thats advertising on their forum and doesn't produce, I dont see it.

we can't do anything about it if no one says anything...I see a lot of complaints everyday about vendors not responding.....haven't got a single email or PM about this so if you wanna bitch in the forums and not contact anyone at IB you can't blame them.

actually Phil I am the one who called out and alerted people to FSP closing up and running off. I got flamed by his fan bois and never got an apology for warning people....I had a couple guys on here calling me a liar and said I was trashing his business with no proof....when it was revealed to be true I didn't hear **** from any of those people.

any recent complaints go back to June and appear to have been resolved and were posted in the appropriate forum Transaction and Feedback....unlike this one in C6 General. There is a transaction feedback section for a reason.

If you have a valid issue not just a rant I encourage you to post it there. If there is an issue thats where it will get resolved and if necessary IB can remove a vendor. This isn't the place.
