So has ANYONE actually talked to him lately?? I've been trying to get a hold of him to get my tune adjusted so it doesn't hesitate and it's just frustrating because it's now two full summers down the toilet without being able to go WOT, and that's like having a completely useless zr1.
All I want now after reading all this is to have my ecu unlocked (he locked it) and back totthe stock tune so I can get it tuned here, anyone know how to unlock it?

I don't know how to unlock it - I didn't think he locked the tunes. However, you should have received a copy of your stock tune. That should let you go back to stock in the meantime.
Seriously guys, if you're waiting for Chuck you're just spiting yourself at this point. He is a lost cause. Don't waste any more time with a car that is inoperable or not running correctly. Get a new ECM so you can enjoy your car. Deal with Chuck afterwards.
Being a licensed GM Tech myself, I exposed him years ago by posting ECM data that PROVED he's charging people hundreds of dollars for something a $150 ECS tune ALREADY COMES WITH!
The best part is, his COW Boosted cars yield the following improvements:

I have the stock copy but a local tuner that came by to help me out couldn't adjust anything cause Chuck locked the tune.
Does anyone know where to buy a stock ecu for a good price? Or should I just get it unlocked from a dealership or something? I'm good with mechanical issues but I have no clue what to do when it comes to computers/electrical

To be fair, that's not really a big deal since most of us understand that none of the throttle boosters, whether mechanical or through a tune, improve on the above. However, if you can dig up the very long thread from years ago when Chuck "invented" his CoW Booster, you will see how arrogant and condescending he was. Funny, there used to be a lot of members who came to defend him in short-lived threads like these. Not so much anymore.

The Vitesse, assuming you throw that in the mix with "throttle boosters", actually can improve 1/4 mile times. If you aren't able to control the throttle with your foot to avoid spinning on the launch, backing off to a negative setting will do it for you. The retard capability is the best feature of any of the throttle modifiers. The more power that is available, the more difficult it is to control on less than ideal road surfaces.

He used to be very vocal in threads like these. He'd spout off about how great he is and how all the negativity was from customers of rival shops who couldn't begin to understand what he does. And he'd do it all in his very typical, obnoxiously annoying posting format. I doubt there are many that will weep for the demise of his business. I feel bad for his more recent customers who were duped.
Well that explains the delay fellas. Chuck stored your ECMs in his basement. Ironic that the lady's throttle got stuck and caused her to drive into his house. Had she ordered a CoW Booster, all of this could have been avoided. Because her car wouldn't be running at all.

Locked out. This is one of the reasons that I chose not to use COW and also not someone local to me. I even turned down his offer of a Free autocal as I was not comfortable taking out my ecm and sending it out and waiting, hopping for it’s return. Others have had this issue it appears, so I dodged a bullet.
You will most likely have to send it to him for re program and hope also. Otherwise you will need to buy a new ecm and have a base program installed. May be faster at this point.

That's a real dick move to lock the ecm. Hopefully anyone interested in his work will see this thread and go anywhere else to get a tune.

Wow that's great news I was hoping a shop could just bypass his lock, what a waste of time and money this past year and a half has been, I've emailed him to unlock it but no response to that email as well... He's always come through for me eventually so hopefully he responds one day

Sadly, buying a new ECM was the route that I had to take. The good news is that the other vendor I ordered the replacement ECM from shipped it out immediately and I had it within two days of placing the order. I'm really surprised somebody could be so unscrupulous as Chuck. The guy is clearly a swindler.

This is what is so aggravating to me. It is a tactic that all scam artists use. They give you just enough to make you feel as though everything is going to be all right. They can lead you on forever this way and if/when you finally get what you paid for, you forget all the frustration you went through. DO NOT LET THAT HAPPEN! No customer should accept the practice that one day they will be made whole.

I know, I just don't even know what to do anymore, I literally just paid a guy to come out and adjust the tune cause I can't wait more than 3 months for a response from Chuck, he couldn't do anything though cause the ecu is locked and I even gave the guy $150 for wasting his time driving to my place from a different city
