I'm still trying to comprehend how an injured finger warrants radio silence on a business you're trying to run. Did I miss the part where he's addressed the issue he's having with his customers with some sort of eta or is this all just info from forum members who have gotten lucky with any sort of reply from him?

It never is, was, or will be about an injury, tragedy, fire, hurricane, whatever. This is just how it is with him. Some customers are just uninformed and others pay too much attention to the so called "good" reviews, while ignoring all the real info out there, and convince themselves they'll be one of the satisfied customers.

Fortunately for me, my heart issue that required 3 stents happened on a Friday morning and I could still conduct business on my cell phone until mid-afternoon while waiting for an operating room to open up. I got back to work on Monday as if nothing had happened. However, if it would have been a finger injury, that's so serious that I might have missed a month or more before I could use a phone again.

I have never dealt with this guy and I will not based on what I have read about him over the years here.
Fool me once, haha laugh at you. Fool me twice, haha laugh at me.
I have dealt with ECS and was happy with what they did for me with my C5 and my 1st C6 but I was not happy with them when they would answer my emails or forum questions about whether or not they were going to be at Carlisle two years ago. Just because you are not going to Carlisle anymore is not a reason to not respond. They did however eventually respond to tell me they werent going like two days before Carlisle.
Anyone out there who owns and runs their own business knows that the business needs to continue even if you are incapacitated. If you care about your business and your customers you do what you have to to keep it going. Maybe it won't be running at 100% but at least it's still running until you can get back to it.
So, it's been about 3 months since anyone has actually had any contact at all with him ?
I am thinking it has to be one of the 6 following reasons ...
1. He is in jail
2. He died
3. He joined NASA and is on a trip to outer space somewhere
4. He is in a coma
5. He took a boat ride and is now lost at sea (or on some deserted island in the south pacific)
6. He has joined the United States Federal Witness Protection Program

My last email from him was on August 26. He responded to my email letting him know that I have removed the defective ECM and TCM from my C6 and will be shipping it up to him so that it can be replaced with a functioning unit that has the COW booster installed on it. I've been unsuccessful in reaching him by phone or email since that time. So right now I'm stuck with a car with no ECM/TCM and I need to see about getting it moved to another location sooner than later

Well, I'm glad you were happy with our first tune for you, as far as Carlisle went (I think it was 3 years ago now, but I could be wrong) we literally did not know if we were going until days prior due to the taxing issue and EPA mess going on over there. Sorry if you were not informed clearly enough at the time but to be honest we didn't know either We do appreciate your business though, sorry for any confusion we caused you.

I think you're right....probably 3 years ago, not two.
I was happy with your work and I would use you again if needed as long as communication is not an issue.
I understand you had a dilema at the time with Carlisle. Answering my email then with a reason or even we are not yet sure if we are going would have been better than a long no reply Doug.
Apology accepted and I'm sure my situation with you then was an exception, not the rule like some other businesses that cater to the Corvette crowd.
It was slow going, but I have my new ECU. Sent Chuck back my old one and we e-mailed back and forth last week and he is preparing several of the programmers to send out this week. Just my experience. I will keep everyone informed when my final part comes in.

Yeah, what's going on out there? There are less and less vendors each year and the crowds have been dwindling.

PA requires you to collect sales tax for the whole year if you have a booth at the show. So if someone orders a supercharger kit from us and is from PA we would have to charge tax, that's enough money to lose the sale over it. They had a group of guys in "IRS" jackets taking information down of the vendors, all taxes were paid so no fines or anything, but we were told to file for a PA tax ID number. We chose not to come back.
I then tuned in the American Racing booth for a couple of years, but then the EPA came around looking to see if they were installing cats, which they were so again no problem, but Borla was deleting some and got their hand slapped. Between the two it just wasn't worth the trouble anymore. Shame though, we used to have fun there and it was a good show.
I've continued to reach out to Chuck by phone and email nearly every day for the past two weeks asking for a status update, and have yet to receive a response. This is getting quite frustrating. I'll be reaching out to my credit card company shortly here as well if I don't get a response by Monday.
Regardless of how busy somebody is, there's no excuse for ignoring/avoiding a customer for over two weeks when all that is expected is a quick call or a short email to report the status of things and provide a time estimate of when an order will be fulfilled. </rant>

Don't wait until Monday, issue the chargeback now. Maybe that will get his attention.
Did you track and insure your ECM/TCM when you shipped them? Do you have confirmation they were delivered?

I did have insurance and received signature confirmation that the units were received at his site. I'll be making one last attempt to contact him today and will be contacting the credit card company if I go to his voicemail again.
