Update: Just got a call from Chuck.Part is going out tomorrow to me. I did mention to him that there were some others on the forum who were not happy.

Just to be clear, Chuck never refused to give me my money back, I was not able to reach him and then after reading this post, i got nervous and called the cc company. Today I reached out one last time and we connected just a few minutes ago.

 

Reminds me of domestic abuse!!! How many times have you heard the abused woman say... but he’s a great guy... he said he’s sorry and he will never do it again!!!
How can he refuse to give you your money back when he’s too busy dodging your calls and emails??
But answer this question for me!!!! What do I do with my CoW Auto Cal (efi live)??? I have been calling and emailing the “stand up guy” since March after I emailed him my datalog file... I haven’t heard a word from him since!!! Oops I’m wrong... I received an email from him asking me to vote for CoW booster on the forum!!! And he answered the email I sent to him about when I told him I love the CoW booster and voted for it!! But the other 16 emails from March were answered by the “be patient guys... this is a very busy time of year” email!!!! Unlike you... I’m done with Chuck!!! He did go above and beyond to call me and email me until he got my $$$... then it was one excuse after another!!!
I do love the CoW booster... but the auto-Cal is just a paperweight now!! I guess I should have listened to the bad reviews too!! But I learned a very valuable lesson!! Hopefully other people will learn from my mistake!!! Especially since it’s piled here with several other people’s mistake!!!

Years ago this forum actually censored negative reviews about the one and only. We were always encouraged by the more seasoned members to search outside of this forum where we could get the entire truth. Some of us listened and some of us didn't. I have no doubt he has many satisfied customers or else there could be no way he'd still be in business. However, there is a pattern of behavior that mirrors what happened here and it's been happening for years. Do not be naive enough to think it can't happen to you.

 

Yea right now he is a one man shop, he works hard like no one else i know, hes still recovering from his injury and trying to get stuff done. sorry guys, i made him aware of you guys needing him. If i lived closer to him, i would be able to help him, which in turn would help you guys. I know its summer time, you want your **** done, im trying.

 

Got my tracking number this morning. I feel confident after speaking to Chuck and hearing the situation that he will make everyone whole very shortly. As said about I know he is working a ton of time to catch up.

I actually got banned for 3 months on this forum for bashing him back in 2008. Seems nothing has changed

 

I remember those days. It's sad that people are still falling prey to the same BS we saw years ago.

 

No I know what it's like to drive a tuned car, I just don't think I do.

I had an email exchange with him on 8/12 for tune files and all seemed well. But sent a file on 9/5 and haven't heard anything since even after repeated attempts, and phone calls. So came here to see if anyone heard anything and wallah, it appears so. I will also say Chuck is a great guy. I wish him a speedy recovery. I love the tunes. and I am only waiting on an update so I have no worries at this time.

Everyone thinks their experience will be different, that it won't happen to them. I hope that's the case but history has a way of repeating itself. Over and over and over and over.....

I'm still trying to comprehend how an injured finger warrants radio silence on a business you're trying to run. Did I miss the part where he's addressed the issue he's having with his customers with some sort of eta or is this all just info from forum members who have gotten lucky with any sort of reply from him?

 

I just recently sent him my ECM and TCM toward the end of last month since I fell victim to the dreaded P0601 (Reduced Engine Power) issue. I've been trying to reach him over the past week to make sure he received the units that I shipped up there, but also have been unable to get a response. I hope all is well with him.

 

This thread is why I didn't buy a COW product and went in a different direction instead... that is all...

 

Chuck always has a great excuse. Can't wait to hear the next one.
