I've spoke with him I believe 4 times in the last year since I bought the ecm with the COW Booster installed, he had to talk me into into letting him add his COW Booster for another $200. making my total $650. and I've been chasing him ever since to try to get it reprogrammed. The throttle is so overly responsive that the slightest pressure on the pedal ramps the rpm's up so fast it is nearly impossible to drive, I burned up a good dual disk clutch now trying. In fairness, I may have other issues going on besides the COW Booster, since this is a fresh 402 Stroker build with a totally new 1,200 hp capable fuel system with all the bells and whistles. Just about everything is new on the engine and fuel system and individually all the components check out fine, but diagnosing the actual issues with the COW Booster in place has been a lost cause, I have no idea what tables he is messing with, nor can I see or modify them with HPTuners. I've always tuned my car as well a few other highly modified cars with no problem, but since I've been stumped on this one and couldn't get any help from Chuck, I've since taken it to 2 other tuners my area, both with excellent reputations with LS's and it was still not even close to being right, it does all kinds of weird stuff you wouldn't expect when making modifications to the tune.
Chuck Cow IS a Stand up Dude, there is no truth to the rumors
Are you being sarcastic, nobody here has said he was a bad guy, he just disappears from time to time, which is aggravating when he has your property. I just want to get my stuff back...

Exactly. If he was tardy on a remote tune, as in sending you a file to upload, that would be one thing. He has had your PCM for a much longer than expected time, and you can't even drive the car. Add to that zero communication... unacceptable by _any_ standard.
Thanks , I just posted in the thread asking when he had the work done and that I've been trying to contact him...
Chuck was online the day before yesterday when I posted on that thread, he actually liked a few of the comments previous to my comments, then he disappeared again. So he was online seeing all this and I still haven't received a call. I'm beginning to get pissed, it's obvious he's dodging me! I'm just the guy that paid him $650. a year ago now for the ECM and his COW Booster and now he has that ECM I bought and my $650 HPTuner Pro setup!. He actually had to talk me into his COW Booster, I was concerned that I wouldn't be able to get to the tables in HPTuner that the COW Booster was modifying, I would also need to depend on someone else to make any modifications to it. He assured me that he would make any changes I needed asap and send it back the next day... I guess I don't represent any new revenue so I'm low in priority, that's a pretty crappy way to treat your Forum customers. I would think vendors would go out of there way to treat us fairly as a matter of respect and professionalism, not to mention, I wouldn't think they would want to get a bad reputation on a Forum they are helping to support. This all doesn't make sense, MAYBE HE BRICKED THE ECM OR LOST MY HPTUNER SETUP OR SOMETHING, IT"S BEEN A YEAR SINCE I'VE HAVE BEEN ABLE TO ENJOY MY CAR!...
A call to the State Attorney Generals office is in order. I had to take this action when I had a set of wheels that never showed up. They miraculously showed up then. If Mr. COW is a fair man then he would understand your actions to keep him honest with your money and time.
I appreciate the suggestion, I just got off the phone with the Regional office for Westchester of the Attorney Generals office and they are connecting me with the NY State DMV who regulates Service Facilities, they said they are pretty aggressive with dealing with stuff like this so we'll see if the possibility of losing his License to do Business is worth being too lazy to call me.
Post about how good a Diablo tune is and he should appear.
DIABLO'S ARE GREAT! WAY BETTER THAN CUSTOM TUNES, I SHOULD HAVE BOUGHT ONE INSTEAD OF SENDING MY ECM TO A TUNER WHO REFUSES TO DO WHAT WAS AGREED AND WONT SEND MY ECM AND HPTUNER BACK. DIABLO ALL THE WAY!!!.. LOL
Just kidding about buying a Diablo, but not so much about sending off my ECM...

Saw him a couple of days ago, he did get his finger caught in machine and split his finger down its length to the bone. I believe that put him a little behind

No problem. Glad I could help.
Diablo tuners are the best! 2 button throttle controllers are way better than boosters. 160 T-stats are the only way to go!

I've Been trying for over a month as well, Left Chuck multiple emails, phone messages with no response back. The last we spoke he did say he hurt his hand pretty badly. I am waiting for my Auto Cal unit, I will continue to wait for Chuck to respond, when I first connected with him, he always answered my calls. Hope his injury heals quickly,

I haven't been on the Tech forum in years but decided to peruse the section after I received an alert from an older thread subscription. Your experience is not unique. This has been happening for years and years to many customers. Prepare for a public response with the "reason" (excuse) for the delay, a convoluted timeline of what transpired and how it relates to your issue, and then a not too subtle plug for his knowledge, ability, and thousands of happy customers. Then, not too long from now, "someone" will make a thread about how awesome of an experience they had with Chuck recently. Those who have been on this forum for a while have seen this play out time and time again. Copy and paste the story but change the names. Same game, same BS. My advice to you is get yourself a new PCM to get your car up and running while you're trying to deal with Chuck. Good luck.
Try calling with a different phone, see if anyone answers. For sure he recognizes your number.
It can't hurt but whomever answers the phone is just going to tell you Chuck will call you back. He's not going to be duped into taking a phone call. If Chuck doesn't want to talk to you, he's not going to. I'm sorry to hear this is still going on after so many years but honestly I'm not surprised. People don't change.
Get yourself a new PCM, a good local tuner, and just accept the loss of Chuck's PCM as a lesson learned. Continue to hound him but at least get your car up and running for yourself. Good luck.
