You know what, from time to time I have come close to getting the COW booster and tune from Chuck. But.....after reading this I will NEVER think of doing business with this guy. I would be livid if I had sent my PCM to him for a quick turn around and a year later I was still waiting. Absolutely NO excuse for a hurt finger!!!!
Chuck had some issues due to my older software version, A lot of back and forth with HPTuners had to happen to work through it all, but, in the end, I think OUR thread was read, because I got it all back on Monday. I put in the ecm and fired it up! Well done Chuck!
In the end I think his work is probably great, but DUDE, get an Admin to answer phone's, EMAILS, make you look professional all the way around...

I'm glad you got it back and your car is working but do not let your relief and excitement cloud your judgement. There are far too many good tuners out there to think you have to go through what you did.
That pos vitesse is NO where near as good as a custom tune, all that thing does is make your throttle feel good it does nothing as far as tuning
The Vitesse is an alternate to a custom tune or an addition to a custom tune. We all know what it does and we all know it has lots of user controlled settings that aren't available on a custom tune.

Hurt finger? Software issues? Yeah, whatever.
Glad you got your ECM back and your car running. And thanks very much for sharing your experience, we can all learn from it. Enjoy your car, plenty of good weather left.

I could be wrong but I think he was making a comparison between the Vitesse and the CoW-Booster. Not an actual tune. Product comparisons aside, this is ridiculous. I had my entire engine rebuilt in less time than this poor guy was waiting for just a re-tuned PCM. Granted we only have one side of the story but many of us have been around long enough to know what the other side is.
JONJOY has probably never driven with a Vitesee Controller. Don’t knock it.
Your right I haven't, I've just been driving my lowly 497 RWHP LS2 I do know you've never driven a car with a real tune other wise you would have never wasted your $ on that thing

My GS puts down 740 RWHP with a badass tune from one of the best tuners around. It still has lag up to 3000rpm. Yes, I still use my Vitesse. You can dial things in nicely for launches.

You realize that's like discussing the joys of sex after only one partner don't you? Bottomline... if you haven't tried it you don't know.
I had an order in for the tune and after 30 days I checked in with chuck and he sent me some graphic pictures of his finger. I gave it another 30 days and then no answer to e-mails, etc. I found this thread and was shocked that there was no response. Chuck is a stand up guy and there are countless e-mails about people saying how he went above and beyond to take care of them over the years. I did cancel my order today, but when he is up and running, i would go with him again. The difference on my 06 was night and day. I wanted to do it with my GS, but I will just wait.
I did have to contact my CC company to dispute the charge and they are handling it from here.
"...Chuck is a stand up guy and there are countless e-mails about people saying how he went above and beyond to take care of them over the years."
There are also countless of reports stating the opposite. I am not looking to persuade you one way or the other. It is your car, your money, and your choice, but this type of behavior has been happening for years. Your own experience exemplifies this.
No communication (other than giving you the finger so to speak) and no shipment for two months after receiving pre-payment, and then won't refund your money? If that's the behavior of a stand up guy, how does "not a stand up guy" operate?
Looks like CoW boi is about to join the very exclusive group of vendors that includes Corvette Mods and Maryland Speed.
