Solid Axle Conversion
I've been watching those Kevin Wilson videos to try and get more understanding of what the bar changes actually do.

I, too, watch Kevin’s videos. I wish he’d put more out.
I entered the car in two classes. The main class I run is Street Kings, and to get more seat time, Open Comp. Both are Index classes. Open Comp takes your highest qualifying time and subtracts a 10th of a second and thats your Index, plus your response time is how you stack on the qualifying ladder. There are some badass racers in OC and they know how to cut a tree. For example at Indy last year (last race of the year), there was four .000 on a 500 pro tree and always at least 40 cars. My Index for SK's is 9.50 and in SK's the closest to your Index (without breaking out) is how you stack in the qualifying ladder. So in a perfect world between the two classes you want your Index to be as close to the same so not jumping through hoops cause they run these two classes almost back to back (there actually was two classes (this race) between them), so you barley have time to get back to the staging lanes. OC was 1st up and I managed to cut a .009 light. I didn't change my tune because I knew they would call SK's before I made it back to the lanes so I had to hit the brakes before the strip trying to get close to a 9.60. Think I ran like a 9.70 something because I hit the brakes too soon. 2nd qual I managed a 9.60 which put me at 9.50 for both classes.
The air was good all week I was running in the low 9.40's during the test and tunes..(a whole lot to slow a car down). 1st SK round still hitting the brakes managed to run a 9.57. So I was at least on the board for both classes. Long story short, I rode the .009 and the 9.57 through all 3 rounds of qualifying as the car really wasn't liking being hot lapped. That .009 got me 9th on the qual list (there wasn't any .000 but there was two .001's out of 32 cars) tuff crowd...
. SK's 9.57 landed me in the 4th spot... I made it to the semi's in SK's and lost to my good friend Cody who ran a 8.75 with a 1 (8.75 index) and I broke out with a 9.47. Cody went on to win SK's and start the defense of his title from last year. In OC I made it to the finals and lost to another good friend on a double break out. I broke out more than he did (9.37). All in all it's a great start to the season. I'm #2 in OC and #3 in SK's. The car and driver did a couple personal best this weekend. My 1st round of OC the guy red lit on me and I let the car eat. Ran a 9.297...
pretty strong for a NA non stroked LS3 car. We're off to Rockingham, NC. in 2 weeks for the 2nd race of the season.

I’m about 2550 without me in it.
Also, what turbo headers are you using? I may, in the future, change my setup and I’d prefer down/forward vs the up/forward I have now. When I flip mine theyre too wide to fit between the frame rails…. I suppose I could modify the frame rails a bit.

I'm currently running some hot rod headers from CPP, they are kinda heavy cast iron center exit chrome plated units that can be used either direction. I've had up and forward and down and forward previously that cleared the frame rails fine, granted I had to ditch the brake booster for the up and forward.

You’re about 250lbs lighter than my car…
I gots work to do…
Happy 4th of July! Celebrate the Red, White, and Blue!

By the way... your car gets any lighter... we can attach wings to it!! That's awesome bro!
