So, you've had it for a while, how is it it? Worth it? Feel free to PM me, I'm about to pull the trigger myself.
This is a sensitive subject at the moment.....when he’s ready he’ll probably fill y’all in. Not my place to speak for him. I missed it in person at the shop but I did see the video of the dyno pulls and the graphs, sounded good and made a good amount of bald eagles 🦅 that’s for sure!

This is Sams build thread and while I do actually know sam in real life off the interwebs, we are out of the same shop and we’ve meet and spoke on a few occasions I just don’t know him well enough to know what his intentions are and what he has to say, not my place do that, I’m sure he’ll pop up soon enough and fill y’all in. Not trying to be a dick or anything I just honestly don’t feel that’s my place to put his business out. He may choose to he may not...

I am literally about to buy one of these superchargers so I want to make sure I'm not going to be doing something dumb. So, I hope its not unnecessarily hard on the car. It doesn't sound like he was pushing the car hard.

Ok that I can answer I believe, I saw the video and graphs on the dyno and it all looked good! Nothing crazy needed on the tune side and to my knowledge the car ran and drove awesome.....maybe too awesome actually. So if that’s what your looking for I’d say your in the clear to order but I also understand why it would be nice to actually hear from Sam on how it drives specifically. I’ve got his number I can reach out and see if he’ll send a PM and answer your questions specifically. Knowing the situation though this forum is probably way down on the list of his priorities at the moment.

I have a Maggie on my LT1 Camaro and I can tell you for certain the Maggie is a great setup on the LT1. Last year I took my Maggie from 530whp on 5psi to 776whp on 12psi (with cam, headers, e85). It’s an amazing setup. Like any blower, however, needs to be tuned by someone that knows what they are doing otherwise things can go sideways.

Just to clarify and piggyback on hogurts comment, when I say “nothing crazy” on the tune that doesn’t mean you don’t need a skilled tuner on blower set ups, you most definitely want a guy very familiar with these sets ups or yeah....**** will go sideways real fast! Just saying a good tuner familiar with blower set ups won’t have to do anything out of the ordinary to get it right is all.

I gotcha, makes total sense. I'm probably going to go through rdp store who sells a bunch and just make the drive a few hours. They say you can do the install yourself and just baby it to the shop and not have to worry. It was concerning how he said he couldnt get the car started until he hooked up to it. I'm hoping my header tune will fire up the car with the maggie on top just enough to make the 3 hour drive.

I can ask our shop what they think about making that drive after the install without a tune and see what they think. I know there is a fine line of “could you” and “should you” in this scenario though. I’d definitely want to know both before I committed to the install and made the drive.

I drove my first 2 C7's to the shops to be tuned after installing A&A kits, but the shop was only 20 mins away. Of the first car i drove it around a bit for like a week (extremely light throttle) and it fowled the plugs. It was opposite what i expected, i assumed more air it would be running lean, i don't know if it was the fuel trims or what but it was dumping the fuel into the engine (which i guess is safer than not enough). Anyway something to think about if you're talking a 3hr drive

I guess id better just say it. I turned the traction control off when I knew better than to do so in cold weather with the cup 2 tires and put it into a pole. Luckily I wasn't going very fast when it happened. The torque on the PD blowers is crazy. I'm getting new tires as soon as it's fixed. Never turning of traction control again.

Personally bro I’m just glad your all good! Cars can be fixed we on the other hand.....not as easy lol! I didn’t feel putting details out was my place and hopefully my post here have respected that in your opinion. I still haven’t taken TC on mine and don’t plan on it unless it’s a the track or a very open space to “heat the tires up” if anyone has comments about being scared or **** like that my reply is your damn straight I am! My car is terrifying and while I didn’t get to ride in yours I’m sure it was too! Having some fear and being a bit scared is good thing! It keeps you locked into the moment, I get the same feeling when I do high risk training **** at work too! That’s how I make it home in one piece and it works!

**** happens bro! Good lesson learned here I don’t think you’ll make the same mistake twice! Respect the bald eagles and DONT TOUCH the “safety buttons” lol

Nah man, I hadn't checked the post in a few days. Obviously my minds been elsewhere. I thank you for being respectful bud. Should have been riding with yall saturday night. May have avoided this. The reason I'm sharing is to maybe help someone else from being an idiot like me. Its a hard lesson to learn, but they are gonna fix it. Frame is ok (pretty damn impressive for cracking a telephone pole) I walked away with a sore knee, scratch on my hand, and bruised ego. This is my dream car. I just pray now that they can put it back together with no issues and it be good as new.

I hear you man! Unfortunately last Saturday got canceled due to the TT mustang having a throttle body issue or something. So that wouldn’t have avoided the situation. Posting helps man, that’s why I posted my build thread so people could hopefully learn from my mistakes of picking the wrong shop and how expensive and time consuming those bad decisions make. My line of work checks my ego daily! It’s healthy man! Keeping it under control isn’t always easy lol. Lesson learned right! Now stay the course, get her back together and enjoy living the dream!!! Let me know if I can help in any way man!!

Glad you are okay, these cars are amazing (safety features as well). Makes me think about my purchase. Do I really need more power .

Post up pictures after they fix it. Amazing that they didnt total it, but if the frame is fine, the rest shouldnt be hard to replace. Hows the motor look?
