It's a completely different story to get on a message board and brag about a career ending injury and your subsequent income you made off of it and use it as a defense of your personal character in an argument on a message board

You sound like a really successful talented guy Keeks. You also sound really insecure lately.
Robert Plant plays golf?

Not sure but I don't think so. My fathers friend was his bodyguard and that's how they made the introduction.

I believe the part about his head injury and his not getting over it.

That's clearly the main turning point in his life. If he's challenged to 'splain parts of his life, guess what: he'll have to mention the main turning point.

He sounds like a lot of things. But to boast on a public forum and a dollar gets him a cup of coffee at Mcdonalds. Keeks could be the king or queen of spengazi for all we know.

I agree one of the reasons someone would boast on a public forum would be to feel more secure about his or herself. Unless that person is looking for a date or relationship of some sorts.

I'm not saying the guy is insecure. If his story checks out he's clearly doing well for himself.

Asking people where to send the signed hockey card however on a board where a large percentage of people including myself were merely asking for clarification on leaks while showing a respectful demeanor is just being a jerk off though.

Than again if people started knocking me about my injuries and psychoanalyzing me in an argument online I wouldn't be overly friendly either.

Moral of the story is if you can't handle the attention gracefully stop asking for it.

Keeks may be the greatest guy since Babe Ruth or Phil Esposito. But the way he has gone about his keeks leaks leave a lot to be desired. He became somewhat of a forum star, and now has begun calling out members, betting members, baiting members, boasting to members, and now telling members what reality is.

As for boasting online about age, wealth, property or success. That is just kinda weird. Again unless looking for a date or relationship of some sorts.

That's just his sense of humor. Imagine you're in the locker room and he's telling jokes right before the big game.

Keeks sounds like a fairly run-of-the-mill CF member to me.

Maybe you have missed the many "look at mine" threads that feature member's houses, motorcycles, boats, Rolex's, etc. along with their Corvettes.

Baiting members occurs around here on a continuous basis. Members also adamantly state their opinions as reality on an hourly basis. Betting members rarely does happen mostly because most here are too chicken to make a serious bet about their yammering.

What he hasn't done is yammer on about his mods, hoping someone will approve, which leaves him a bit out of the ordinary. I think that is because he has a great appreciation for well-executed stock cars...even if some of them are Rustangs.

He has only showed what was asked of him to show, also out of the ordinary.

What he has done (that nobody else has) is to provide us here at CF, the first real C7 breaking news w/images of truly helpful information offered anywhere on the planet. He offered this here in a form that he backed up with the most real images (IMHO) anyone has offered.

So, if he has finally had enough of folks giving him crap for his efforts, so be it.

Ox..you have some valid points. Unfortunately I have seen many threads of members boasting to complete, and total strangers on the net of all places.

I agree the information as we know it for now has been helpful. Yet as we have both stated I wonder at what cost and to whom? A major corporation like GM is in no way going to just sit back and allow some guy on the net to leak information without someone paying a price at some point. This would only matter if the information is indeed true. GM most likely has more lawyers on retainer, and investigators then they have cars in inventory.

Again keeks could be the king or queen of spengazi for all we know. Only time will tell, if all he states is in fact true. And we can only hope nobody loses a job or even worse a company loses a contract just to make someone a net star for a few months.

If nobody does lose a job, contract or credibility for the leak then hats off to keeks. The only thing is we will probably never know.

I still believe our man of the hour has the full backing of the boys at the mighty Renaissance Center and a good personality to boot.

Interesting thread. And the last couple pages deliciously tinged with a bit of irony are fun.

But the pilot fella is right, more booty needed to save the thread.

And props to Keeks for all the info.

This is certainly a possibility. Yet who would do it without compensation? And if someone is being compensated for posting some pictures would they get all bent out of shape and upset if questioned about the pics/CADs? Personally, I would be laughing on my way to the bank.

Keeks will kill me for saying this but I think he is compensated....... In the form of a "courtesy delivery" of a 427 Vert at Buds Chevrolet.*

* Courtesy delivery is when a dealer receives a car directly from the factory (at cost) for a "preferred customer" . Usually this is done with race drivers, celebrities , etc.
